My son played for Walpole Wanderers around early nineties, never done that well until Carlton Cole joined the team then they scored for fun.

I'm related somehow to Dobson through my old dears family but never spoke to him, Matty Somner is a good lad and still see him out and about now, Jay was in my year but wasn't all that great but a nice geezer.

Graham Stack I grew up playing against and he made it - his family are all QPR and Merson now plays for Whitton FC and can often be found in the Prince Albert on Hounslow Road a Sunday. He's just had a kid with a an old friend of mine.

He was in the best in his class for sure, but definitely didn't stand out as someone who was miles above everyone else. Actually surprised me he made it, fair play though as he obviously put his head down and really dedicated himself to it.

Went to school with Gavin Maguire and played in the school team with him, although he was in the year lower. He was a different class to everyone else, was weird though watching his debut v Luton I think but he did really well.

Went to an engagement party where he was also invited, decent bloke.

Lovely geezer him, and a very under rated player. Used to be a hair dresser in hatch end after he quit the game.

Forgot about him fella. His old man used to run the Shire Horse Hounslow when I used to drink there. Good bloke he was. nearly tore my arm off with that hook once mind. Shame when he sold up. Place was an absolute kharzie after that.

Never know how Jay made it pro. The old man must have known someone at Brentford, as there's no way he got there on ability. There was much better than him around, even just in our year.

Same year and for a short time same class as Les and Denis Wise. Don shanks parents use to live in the same block on the Estate and every now and again Don and Stan would have a kick around in the court yard with the young locals.
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

As a kid I played against a guy called Danny Hollands - ended up playing for Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Charlton amongst others.

You from Sunbury? He went to my school (albeit he had left by the time I started there).

I went to Sunbury Manor from 97-02. I think he left in Year 7 to play youth football for Chelsea.

I used to play on the same Sunday league team as a striker called Mark Watson.
Made his one and only Premier League appearance for West Ham at Loftus Road as a 2nd substitute half in 1996.
As far I know, he dropped straight down to non-league football with Aldershot, shortly afterwards.

In another team, I played with the brother of Damien Johnson(ex Blackburn, Birmingham) - certainly the brother was a top top player at that level.

I used to play for junior bees and brentford town. Only ever remember beating West mid once in the 6 years I played against them!
