  • Uncle Tone Tweets Positive, And The Alan McDonald Plane!

    Tony Fernandes ✔@tonyfernandes
We are firm and resolute in what we are doing at QPR. Good team now. Good CEO , director of football ,manager ,co chairman.

The mood at QPR has been up and down like a rollercoaster in recent years, with relegation soon forgotten after Championship play-off victory last summer.

That, too, has now been forgotten following another Premier League relegation.

And yet the atmosphere at Loftus Road is a positive one at the moment. Stable recruitment both on and off the pitch seems to have given QPR a much-needed boost ahead of next season.

Chairman Tony Fernandes certainly thinks so.

The only issue here is that Fernandes has perhaps done himself a discredit in the past by tweeting/expressing similar opinions when things were going wrong.

On this occasion, it does look as though QPR are indeed being firm and resolute and going in the right direction.

    He's not the Chairman.

I was at the club the other day for the R Story event and staff referred to Ruben as the Chairman.

He is the Co-Chairman, as announced.

I like the fact he recognises we now have a good team in place since he's stepped aside. The bloke is a clot.

Not quite I was in the directors box and the chap said "this is where the Chairman Ruben sits" and then he pointed out the other owners. Amit first and then Tony.

Seems he really has been pushed aside what with Ruben & Ruban looking after things now. Which is absolutely fantastic news for all of us.

Cue more needless Tony bashing on this thread then...

We don't know anything about either of them, they could be totally fruit cakes.

He's basically gone. As has everyone else at the top on a day to day basis.

They came they saw, they messed up, onwards and upwards.

I'm fully behind the new management structure, our new head coach, our new director of football, our new club ambassador, our new chairman, our new Finance Director and our new Chief Executive.

May all that walked before them be forgotten as much as all the munters I pulled late doors in the Palais back in the day.

I don't know why, but I occasionally use 1 or 2 of my less aesthetically pleasing past conquests as "fuel on the fire" when peeling one off.
