Same story. Many here thought it was stupid to sell him and thought he would be very good for Palace.

Erm......... Just 2 off the top of my head. Wayne Routledge and Jason Puncheon.

Point is, your point makes no sense.

It's just do we lose someone with the potential McCarthy has just to accommodate green for another 12 months. Tough call and it's very similar to what happened at Chelsea. Cech is a fantastic keeper but if they kept courtois on the sideline any longer he was off. Scum made the hard choice be issue courtois is the future. To me that's what ,McCarthy is to QPR.
Yeah but tbf Courtois had proven himself on loan at ath madrid winning the league and getting to champs league final so that choice was a lot easier for them. McCarthy hasnt really done much and that is why some are apprehensive.

Just a thought, but McCarthy was 2nd chioce in a very average Reading side when we bourght him.

And his performance in 2 FULL games games I saw him in, Sheff Utd & Leicester, do little to suggest to me that he should start abead of Green (England's #3 choice & rumoured, at one point, Chelsea target!)

It makes as much sense as your prediction that he'll be top class elsewhere.

Not really. My point is I think he's top class and will prove it elsewhere. Your point is Jordan Mutch.

Im sure if the management rate him highly he will be given the starting role next season, if they dont they will probably sell him. Im undecided on him personally

Or it could be we have 2 good keepers on a wage, one is sell-able and one isn't, neither is happy as back-up. Ala Cesar and Greeno.

Possibly but If McCarthy has the potential to be as good as some think as well as his age then Im sure the club would at least try to keep him with this new direction we are taking. Green only has a year left so wouldnt command a high fee and the club would probably let him go on a free (just to get him off the wage bill) if they wanted to go with McCarthy as the No. 1.

You do realize we are Qpr and no-one want's to pay players the wages we pay (or paid). Hence we get wasters like SWP that we couldn't pay to get rid of.

........... Anyway, If Green is to stay i'd be quite happy. Bloke is a class act.

Played well today I thought, did everything that was expected and pulled off some decent saves. Should have had a clean sheet if the lino had done his job.

Phillips was pretty #### the few times he played until he got a run in the side and then got better and better.

Seaman's kicking was truly awful at times and this isn't exactly an area Green excels at.

However, I think Green is currently the better of the two but how long is he going to be around. The club have to think that they will get promoted and will Green have another PL season in him, quite possible, but should McCarthy be allowed to go IF he wants 1st team football (if he doesn't I would be disappointed in him). Tough decision either way.
