I figured Nedum was made captain, didnt realise it had any impact of a bid coming from WBA or any other club interested.

Nedum is the right man for the job. Coming up to 100 games and always working hard for the club.
Yeah, i thought they was given it to Caulker this season and they haven't so i just presumed they may ( again hope not) listen to offers for him, you wouldn't make him captain and then sell him 2/3 weeks later, that's all.

The chief as captain, makes sense

In all fairness I do t see why caulker would be in front of ned anyway for the captains armband. Ned been at the club 3 years and the ultimate professional.
Caulker just needs to get his head down and recapture the form he showed on loan at Swansea and Cardiff.

Everyone going on about Caulker lets not forget he was booed by the home fans in last home game and got taken off at HT as a result. I would guess he will be very nervous first few home games and if he makes mistakes early doors will be bag of nerves so not as solid as some are predicting

Am I the only one that thinks this decision is laughable...

If it were up to me I wouldn't have even kept him ... I think he is a liability

I don't rate him as highly as everybody else on here. He had a shocker last season but who didn't. Thought they might pick green but this might show he is not first choice. But if WBA did put a bid in for Onouha I would have taken it.

Good Luck to him. But, I hope we soon have a new CB lined up aswell. One with pace.

Both Onuoha and Caulker are considered the two fastest centre backs in the prem last season. If anything, a calm, collected head irrespective of pace is what is needed.
