This season he's got none yet. He does however have an assist and if I'm not mistaken, he took the corner we got our second goal from. So he's effectively been directly involved in all of our goals this league season Chum

As for never getting to the goal line, here is his heat map and from what I can see, he seems to take the most touches in that corner of the pitch where he can deliver it. He attempted 9 crosses and 5 of them hit their target. The second best player on that pitch with crossing was Whittingham, who attempted 8 crosses and got 2 (only) on target to their man.

And then talking about can't finish, he gets 3 shots off in the box and only one of them misses the target and that - If I recall correctly - perhaps could have been hit better but he was on the turn and under a lot of pressure. The other shots were very well saved so I'm not going to detract from his finishing.
So one game, how many goals since he has been here, how many assists since he has been here,so one dribble beats three men wow and the
        end product was

yea and if had squared the ball to Massimo he would of had a tap in making it 3-1,three chances no goals.

Work that out for your stats

Actually its 3 dribbles to beat more than one man each time.

Its a bit ridiculous isn't it haha. Its like people love the idea of living in the stone age with regards to the technology and information available to them. People will take technology with regards to the assistant getting offside calls right but as soon as it is used to prove a statistical point, it becomes a hunt for Judas or something.

Also, end product isn't down to him, he got 5 crosses into his targets, thats a final product from him. Its down to the player receiving to score the goal. If that wasn't enough, once again, I direct you to the fact that two of his corners led to goals. Also, he is still to my understanding one of the top 3 or 4 assisters of 2015 so that is more end product for you.

And if Barton was taking the corners, we would have lost two nil. One moment doesn't make the player, its his application over the game and he was our biggest outlet in that game.

Trouble is he doesn't have many moments and one game doesn't make a player.

Your obviously easily satisfied as 5 crosses into his targets are his lot would be good if he scored now and then

He's a winger. You obviously just want to complain about something because he is doing exactly what he was expected to do. Supply crosses.

Antonio valencia is a strong and direct winger. In 2011/12 he was voted man utd player of the season and was one of the best players in the league for getting only 4 goals and 13 assists in 27 appearances. The reason was because - much like matty phillips - His job was to get the ball into the box for the finishers to put it away (in their case, wayne rooney got 27 goals, a lot of which were from valencia crosses). Why can't you accept that he (phillips) is actually a much better player than you believe.

Oh, and how much of a hypocrite are you that you now say one game doesn't make a player, when you said this earlier:

On Saturdays showing id take 6.5 and let him go

Sounds like you are not only judging him on one game, but you are also misjudging that one performance.

Finally, as for the fact that he doesn't have many moments, here is something interesting for you to know which I have said but will reiterate. He is in the top 2 or 3 assisters in europe in 2015. Therefore he must have many good moments.

No no, they do, you misunderstand. I'm just saying their primary job is to assist and supply strikers. But you keep going on complaining and arguing for the sake of it. I'll even look into that top ten list, see what I can find, although it might be tough.
