You have to look at the bigger picture and the quality of players they were up against. Also the fact that caulker had no stability in a cb pairing all year and tbh confidence was shot which is a massive part of football.

There is a massive gulf in class from the prem to championship and ned already shown before he's a top defender at this level and caulker had a mare last year but at Swansea and Cardiff before he was a different player who showed his qualities. With out doubt they are two of the best defenders in the league.

and cant see him rectifying Caulkers mistakes gafs or clangers that come from being mindless ,

Cardiff needed money, spurs fans were livid with caulker going and swansea couldn't keep him because spurs were desperate to get him into the first team.

I don't really fear this league. As others have said will depend to an extent on who of the possible departures actually go. At the moment looks certain Austin and Sandro will go and reasonable chance Fer and Phillips will.

However I really don't think the following, leaving those out, is that bad:

Green
Furlong Ned Caulker Yun
Gladwin Luongo Faurlin Hoilett
Jet Polter

Others: McCarthy, Hill, Henry, Petrasso, Mackie, Diakite, Greco-Cox, Sutherland, Comley, Doughty

Assuming Austin goes we will need to spend some money on at least one striker but that aside not a bad team. Even Hoilett properly coached could be ok in this division. We do need at least one, preferably two, defenders as having little more than Clint as cover is worrying but CR has said they are working on bringing those in. A few unknowns in that first 11 but this is Championship not Premiership. Also bear in mind we are still trying to recruit and may keep a couple of those we are expecting to leave.

Not world beaters but with a few right additions (assuming expected departures) should be a decent season.

We will see mate. Respect your opinion and I'm sure deep down you hope your wrong as if I'm right we should have a good season. I still think we are very lucky to have two cb of their quality at this level and I think they will prove a lot of you wrong.

Think their three key players left didn't they (Afobe, baker and Alli). If they get one or two of them back (baker has gone to Vitesse arnhem), maybe they will do alright, but they do look in danger without them.

Love Smithy, was sitting behind the dugout at the cup game a few seasons ago when Gabbidon won it for us and him and the assistant John Gorman were always having a chat with us. Seemed like a nice guy and had fun poking jokes at each others clubs

I've said for a while on here that we'll do well, by the time all of our ins and outs are sorted I'm sure I'll be of a similar opinion. Some betting sites have us at 16/1 to win the league, which for a newly relegated side is frankly a little ridiculous. If we get off to a decent start (more than possible looking at our first 5-10 games) and bring in quality before the window, we have as good a chance as anybody.
