This league is not for the predictable I can see 16 sides I wouldn't bet for or against , this can be the toughest league in the world or can be plss poor last seasons challengers might flop this time around , last season it was strong , coming up to Easter you couldn't name the 3 that would get up
Bear in mind none of us know anything about our starting 11 or how we are going to shape up

others that imo could be hit & miss Ipswich,Cardiff,Charlton, Forest, Us, Reading.
Which only leaves Rotherham, Birmingham,Huddersfield and Brighton who I don't think will be up to it.
Admittedly things could change with personnel leaving or joining at all clubs. But those top 14 I think have a very good chance, either
momentum, or good goalscorers etc...

I think people are really overestimating the league to overcompensate for the fact that we actually are going into a season surprisingly well prepared.

I still think when you have a squad like ours with a bit of extra quality I certainly think it's enough to get a top 6 position. Again I do respect your views mate but I think your over estimating a lot of teams. Most clubs will look at our squad with envy. If we have a back four of ned, caulker, yun, McCarthy or green and a new rb that is right up their with the best defence in this league. We won't let many goals in so as long as we got someone or people capable of chipping in with goals we should be right up there.
Very hard to call right now admittedly as we don't know our final said and if we somehow kept Charlie and Marty then I really don't see how we can't be favourites or certainly joint favourites.

We went up last time with a very average team and missing Matty and Charlie for pretty much 15-20 games.

Burnley will miss Trippier ( who to me was there best player) but have a good replacement in Lowton, they will be a tough proposition, Ipswich will always be hard to beat under MM , But whatever happens and whoever we lose and whoever comes in it will be a battle from start to finish, thats how this league works.
Will be a tough season what ever the outcome and agar very hard to cal for all of us until we know our final squad.

If our defence will remain the same as last year, I really fear a nightmare. Not a question of other teams quality, more the fact that we tend to be our own worst enemy. Hence, I really hope Sir Les is able to bring in a few new up and coming defenders with confidenceQPR

Our defence will be fine in the championship. The premier league is a whole different level. Augero, giroud, Walcott, Rooney, Costa, Kane, bony ect and midfielders of the ability of silva, Ramsey, Sanchez, schniederlin ect....
We won't come up against anything like that. Caulker and ned will do find it so much easier in the championship. Really don't get this defensive worry. Again most teams in this league would love to have them as a cb pairing.

There is a massive gulf in class from the prem to championship and ned already shown before he's a top defender at this level and caulker had a mare last year but at Swansea and Cardiff before he was a different player who showed his qualities. With out doubt they are two of the best defenders in the league.
