  • Starting XI v. Shakhtar

The boys are travelling tomorrow to Italy and they will be facing Shakhtar this Saturday.
With the likes of Austin and Green scheduled to join the trip, our only absence should be Sandro.

Based on that, what would be your preferred formation and your starting XI for that game?

Shouldn't be playing Austin, Fer or Phillips unless and until it's clear that they're staying.

Seriously? That team would be slaughtered unless Shaktar played reserves against QPR.

It's all about fitness and interpreting the players slowly. Result is irrelevant.

Players like faurlin, diakate need to be looked at. Polter, gladwin, luongo, JET all give a chance plus petrasso, doughty, harriman ect all given chance.

These are the games to experiment and gain fitness. Don't expect the first 11 to be ramseys first choice. Will be a mixture of experience, youth and new players.

Highly doubt we will see what ramseys deems are first 11 until the 3rd or 4th game.

Wouldn't mind seeing something like our likely starting 11 next year to be honest, maybe:

                              McCarthy
                              Furlong Nedum Caulker Yun
                              Faulin Henry
                              Gladwin Luongo Mackie
                              JET
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
