There is no chance whasoever that "Caulker is probably england's most naturally gifted young centre back when it comes to the defensive side of the game".You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

If he can build on that, given how fast he is and how good he is in the tackle, he will get an England cap again very soon.
No chance mate. I agree with matty on this 100%.
I'm a massive caulker fan and I believe if he stays he's the best cb in the championship alongside ned all day no arguments. But after last years display whatever the excuse you can be banding around statements like that.
He's got massive potential but he has to perform consistently to deserve the type of credit you have just given him. Stones, smalling, Jones are miles ahead of him atm.
This year will do him the world of good and I think he'll be colossal for us and him and ned will be part of the reason we will be near the top. We won't let many goals in next year. His big season will be the one after and to see whether he can take newly found confidence and play at a high standard week in week out in the Orem league which arguably stones, smalling and Jones do.

I'm just saying that I have watched this lot for years, caulker is the best of them in terms of ability to win the ball back based on what I have seen. Jones is sought after because of his work ethic and versatility, smalling isn't a bad defender and has height to his advantage and pace. Stones is young but not a great ball winner, rather a ball player and Blackett is a bit of a joke of a defender in all honesty. IMO
Worst goal difference in the PL at -31 (Burnley were -25 and Hull -18). Most goals conceded at 73 (20 more than Burnley and 22 more than Hull)......
And, yep. I'm well know for my dislike of Clint Hill round these parts......

I'm sure there was a piece before where Chris Ramsey defended Caulker by saying he was playing with injuries for the majority of last season? I highly rated him when he played for Cardiff. He didn't have a good season last season but I think he is a good squad player. I'm happy if he stays with us for the following season.

I think the difference between Caulker and the others being mentioned (jones, stones, smalling) is that they probably arent on the lash most weeks, getting in scuffles and "falling over" when out, while turning in disinterested performances contributing to the teams demise. I couldnt imagine LVG would stand for jones or smalling living a similar lifestyle as caulker. The problem we had/have with caulker is that he knows he is number 1 and there isnt anyone to push him or keep him on his toes. I hope a year in the championship is the kick up the a*se or rude awakening that he needs and he learns/grows/realises from this and becomes the player many over the years have said he can be. Wouldnt be surprised to see him snapped up by someone over the summer though (despite the interview he gave the other day)

He's got a good contract playing for a club near his home, realistically no premiership team will offer him what he';s on after his horror show last season and he's still young. He'll be here for a while longer imo. Hopefully he improves in the Championship

nasser you're nuts if you think he;'s better than Chambers, Blackett, Stones, Dier, even Michael Keane. Just got overhyped for scoring a few headers.
We CANNOT make him captain. Caulker was as bad a signing as we made last year and key to our relegation.
