The sooner the Austin saga is over the better. I would love for him to stay at QPR but it isn't going to happen. The quicker we get the £15million (which is a bargain when you consider Andy Carroll was sold for £35million and he's pony) the quicker we can bring some quality into the side.
I doubt Austin will go to the likes or Bournemouth, Leicester etc. I think Newcastle will be his choice of destination.

What do these clubs not understand, that he will not be sold for less than £15M ? I wish it was £18-20M because I think that is what his true value is, if we were still in the prem and one of the so called bigger clubs came calling then I think £20M would be the asking price, so I hope we stick to our guns and start an auction starting at £15MLast edited by dave58; 05-07-2015, 01:28 PM.

Charlie Austin scored 18 goals last season in what was a poor team. He scored more goals than in the PL than Wayne Rooney, Olivier Giroud, Wilfried Bony and was only 2 goals behind Diego Costa. Imagine what he could do with the right service if given to him.
£15million is a steal and as said should be higher.

This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

I'm confused (not unusual) by the talk of bidding wars and starting prices - we either accept a bid or we don't. If we accept a £15m bid from one club, nobody is going to offer more are they? We are not going to turn down any other bids of £15m are we?
I thought we just accept all bids that meet our valuation and then it's up to Charlie to talk personal terms and decide who wins.....
