At our 2014 summer AGM our clubs agreed that a Rule should be drafted to make shirt numbers more visible. This followed complaints that numbers on some shirts were unclear. Time was then taken to establish guidelines, and we understand that QPR’s kit designs for 2015/16 were finalised and in production during this period.

Ultimately, once the guidelines were established, clubs decided against the Rule at a later point in the 2014/15 season. Work is continuing to research and develop further options for our clubs to consider.

Which is essentially good news because it seems going forward, the Hoops will be properly back. As with the FFP Law, it is just another one of those decisions where you ask, who comes up with these ideas and how the hell do they get passed through the system. Whoever it was did not support a Hooped Team otherwise they would understand how ridiculous the decision was............even in the late 60's / Early 70's our Red number on a white panel was quite clear and easy to read, nicely situated on our blue and white hoops.
Certainly dont blame the club, they didn't make this stupid decision and have just been left high and dry by the manufacturers. I wouldn't buy it for myself but I would buy it for my son.

Yes, the club designed a non hooped kit to comply with possible new rules.

Quite simple really.

Over the last ten years we are been in worse positions, I just hope the club can survive and fill all our fixtures next season.

You may have guessed but the whole thing is a none issue for me, in 12-24 months we will have a new shirt anyway.

It reads to me that there was no lie and no BS from Rangers. Deadline to get this shirt out was early because it's the first non generic Nike shirt we've had and it takes a while. Typical that rules and guidelines were in transition and then scrapped, but too late to change it.

Still, those of you that called the Club out for lying about this should be happy, because you nailed your colours to the mast and it just got blown over in the wind

We chose not to have hoops. The possibility of some kind of new rule was basically never ever a possibility!

i hate the block blue back on the new shirt, but the rest of the shirt is half decent compared to the sh*t one from last year and at the end of the day if we are winning nobody will give a flying #### about the kit... to be completely honest its sad the harassment of the club and ian taylor over this issue and the fact the premier league have even had to make a statement responding to it. I have seen grown men on twitter quoting the bloody premier league rulebook to prove their point, its absolutely ridiculous and these loud mouths on twitter make us look a laughing stock to fans of other clubs.

Yes the back of the shirt is sh*t but it is not going to change before the start of the season so shut up you whiney man children
