Agree ,everything crossed he has an injury free season ,he owes it to us and the club.
Wonderful bloke and player ????????? I just dont see it . ( not saying see`s a wrongun or a s hit player ,either ) but he`s no legend and owes QPR a massive debt ,not the other way round.
Saw the bloke for 2 seasons in the championship. Miles better than it. As for wonderful bloke and player, well the first part comes from everything he says and does regarding Qpr and the second is what i've seen with my own eyes.

But like u say, its all about opinions.

Really hope Ali has an injury free season, if he does he could easily be the Championship player of the season

Disappointed in you to be fair, you post mostly sense, you got the decorators in??
            This.
He deserves another contract in order to see if he is still able to play.
When he was fit and playing, he looked a very good player not only in the Championship but the Premiership too.

              Have you read this Vespa?

Pretty good read I thought and not at all surprised.

Glad we've renewed, Faurlin's as good as anyone in our squad and deserves another crack. Honestly it would've been poor form for the club to leave him out in the cold.

His injury issues just show how fickle football can be, he's easily got the talent to be playing for a top 6 side. Hopefully we see more of him in the coming season.

Could people guesstimate our team and add Nathan Byrne and 'Gray/new striker' (just to look at it the best ways) but leave out Austin, matty, fer, caulker and sandro. (just to look at it worst ways) and see what it looks like.

Brighton , i had read that already ,but like most i read on the offy and the club programme i take it with pinch of salt,
No one is coating the boys personality ,he says everything right ,
if we have him on a pay as you play basis ,then fine by me
but he has taken wages off us for a long period of time and not kicked a ball ,
                    Were not a charity
he does owe us ,he`s had a good living off QPR for the last few years ,without doing anything to earn it . ( to the hard of thinking out there , i`m not suggesting for a second hes got injured on purpose ,but at the end of the day ,we dont owe him a living ,in most jobs after 6 months sick leave ,your contract is terminated or at least suspended , well he`s had a damn site more than that )
What i`m hoping is ,he proves me wrong and goes on to be the messiah ,that some on here think he is .......

I'm very pleased that your attitude towards this whole situation is in the minority.

Stuff like this make me feel better about QPR still being the same club that we know and love. We were always a family club.

Ale is one of us, he's family, and we owe him a chance for him to do his bit.

I can't claim to know all the ins and out of such matters, (I would be very happy to be informed of the true facts), but have we really been paying him or has some form of insurance policy covered this sort of thing?

Even if we have, I think it's great that we stood by someone that deserved it.

Dont know why you presume to be in the majority ,on this issue , maybe on here you are , but when this topic has has been raised in the pub after matches ,it seems very different ,either way ,you are intitaled to your opinion and i respect that.
All this , he`s family ,business ,one of us etc is b ollocks though
he`s an argentinian ie forigner ,not one of us ,he didnt walk to Wembley in 67 , cry in 77 ,walk to wembley in 82 ,rejoice easter monday 86 ,get crushed then go home dejected at Wembley, etc etc etc
he`s not family ,he seems to be a nice chap ( for an argentinian ), but he`s done very well out us

hadnt considered that an insurance policy could have covered his wages ,to be honest

Going by the reactions I've seen everywhere on the web today, and from previous discussions about it, I'd say most are very positive towards Ale, and are happy with his signing a new contract.
We're all concerned it won't end well, don't mistake hope for certainty.

There is a reason a few years back when we were first in the prem that he was considered an arsenal target in the january window. Boy is a class player who puts in so much effort every game for us.
