If the move to the PL is key to playing for England then he needs a top 6 side as Roy doesn't really look outside them for his main players.

I think we've set our stall out firmly and fairly & if we get anything from £15m upwards we'd of done exceptionally well on a player we payed just over £4m for & got us promoted.

He knows this, his agent definitely knows this.

Don't budge Les 20-25m or you can go for free next summer and we'll have 120m to spend on his replacement.

Stainrod, I remember "I am the ****** man Johnny Spencer well, the last time since Les and before Charlie that I felt we were going to score in every game he started, shame he lost interest in his second season, I still remember that perfect hat-trick against Barnsley when he scored from an impossible angle and a Barnsley fan had his arms out as in you'll never score from there, moments later he had his head in his hands, brilliant!!!
I'm not saying we'll get 20m for Charlie, just that anything less I'd rather lose him for nothing as we wouldn't be able to get anyone half as good for 10-15m, thus increasing our chances of promotion.
