"There has been plenty of interest in Austin but his £85,000-a-week contract demands have been putting potential buyers off.""What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane

I can actually believe this and it makes sense, if LVG/united just can put their pride aside, stop chasing fancy household names for the sake of it and actually acknowledge charlie as a first class player and professional that scored more goals than any of their so called world class players last year. With the service he would get there he would easily score 20+ goals for them this season at a bargain price. Good luck to him if there are any truth in these reports.

Basically it's all over Twitter because an fake account, claiming to be the personal account of the Chairman of the QPR Supporters Trust, tweeted saying Man Utd had a bid accepted etc etc and Austin was having a medical at Utd tonight, wishing him well blah blah blah.
Every QPR fan on Twitter knew this couldn't be true as Austin and his wife Bianca have been at Reading festival today, off his #### in the dance tent.
Not only that but I took the guys Twitter profile pic and reverse image searched it on Google to find out he was using the picture of a specialist health lawyer from Florida, proving the whole account and everything it posts is a load of crap.

I'm as much a fan of Austin as the next R, but let's be honest....he is not at the calibre required to play for a Manchester United or an Arsenal. If those clubs have money to burn / feel the need to panic buy, then they will chase World Class strikers like Benzema, Higuain and Cavani. Charlie is a great goalscorer, but his all round play simply isn't good enough to warrant signing for a club of that size.
