Brentfords model is to get rid of the best manager they have had replace him with a Johhny Foreigner and buy their players based on a computer score

If we where offered top six now we would take it!

The point is, good lower league players have been around for years and we have been to up our own butts to look at them.

Hart, Clyne, Jagielka, Small, Baines, Sterling, Delph, Adams, Lallana, Austin, Ings.

The list can go on, all of the above played in the first or non league and we could have picked up most of those at some stage for a combined total of under £5m in the last few years.
Your'e bang on the money but all those players you mentioned went to clubs with far superior scouting networks and far superior youth systems than we've had for the best part of 20 years ,we have behaved like a small club and made cuts in the wrong places

It's just Ramsey kissing @rse I'm afraid in bigging up the Brentford model. He's saying oh well done Les and Tony you're so clever.

Brentford model: Manager coaches team someone else buys players.

Prospective QPR model: Ramsey coaches team Les buys players

Nothing wrong with what Ramsey said, Brentford a well run club with a good transfer policy, it's what we want isn't it??
As for Brentford being rivals, turn it in, it's lil ol Brentford, we are there elder, harder, better looking cousin.

Since we fond money, some of these players could have been picked up but I get your point.
                          Kept the faith!

Was thinking this the other day. Clyne we were linked with, and I think Lallana. Hooper was another, the young Spurs right back who went to Norwich. I liked the look of the young Ince when he was at Blackpool and if he had been signed that season and developed, he could have become a really good player. Of course we are linked with tons of players and we can't sign all of them, but some of the signings were obvious to us fans - yet apparently the management knows best. The thing is tho it is about balance. We have gone overnight from being a team demanding you are over 30 with 80 plus international caps and a couple of champions league medals to your name to suddenly wanting everyone from league one. you need a balance, and there is also a middle way of young-ish up and coming Championship players who do command a fee. As Hove says, we react to one disaster by going too extreme in the other direction.
