One of our problems has been bringing them through, you don't know until you try. Given the choice we preferred to rely on old pros, finally the penny seems to have dropped. We're just not in a position to turn our backs on youth, and the truth is we never really were. The club seemed to regard itself as a kind of itinerant retirement home.

Having said all that everyone is going to have to be patient, long term means long term...

When he played against Liverpool a couple of years ago he done well
Like I said I dunno if he is good enough but he has at least managed regular appearances at league level. Most of our youth lads go out on loan to sit on the bench.

I'm guessing Harriman is on his way isn't he? Was offered fresh terms a month back and I haven't heard anything about him signing them yet!

You would think if our management tells him he has a real chance of 1st team football then he will stay...otherwise playing in front of 9k at Luton every week is better than playing friendlies at Harlington..well just about, it is Luton after all

I can't see us going into next season with just Furlong and Harriman as specialist right backs, bound to be a more established option on Ramsey's shopping list. With that in mind I really wouldn't blame Harriman for choosing first team football at a lower level.
