I would be very surprised if he went to Newcastle , if it starts badly up there it could really go rats quickly, i still think he will stay in London, reckon West Ham would be he's best bet, still wouldn't be shocked if he ended up at Palace.

10 to 15million is about right imo. Newcastle is a good club for Charlie aswell which is goodUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

15 mill is more than fine for charlie with his contractual situation.
The benefit we have got is that Newcastle are not the only club who want him. We dont have to do business with them if they don't meet our valuation. If you want him then stump up the 15 million quid. We might find a bit of a bidding war kicks off.

Think he could be seduced by idea of working with McClaren. Problem with McClaren is he has a very patchy managerial record.
Even at Middlesborough a large chunk of the fans were happy to see him go. Aside from his spell in Holland nothing has gone particularly well for him. As many have said seems a great number two.
Good luck to Charlie though. Just hope we get a decent fee and spend it wisely.
