As we know,Newcastle are one of several suitors who are reportedly interested in CA.Perhaps they would let us have Pappa Cisse as part of the deal.I know he turned 30 last week and is not the type that some on here find acceptable,but there's no doubting his ability in front of goal and he would be even more prolific and effective in the Championship.Just a thought,say Cisse + £10-15m.

Just see a Mirror article stating we are standing firm and will not let Charlie go unless we receive AT LEAST 15 million. Lets hope thats true.Comment

if newcastle pay us a reasonable amount, then i'd be baffled how charlie wouldn't want to go there... it's a proper club with proper fans - i was working up there the day that michael owen signed and, although he was old, a bit past his best and signing for the money (and the nufc fans knew that), about 15,000 of hem showed up at the stadium on a lunchtime to see him unveiled.

Fark Cisse, the geezer is a total wrong un (not a bad player mind but certainly not the type we should be looking at).
If Newcastle want the pair we should hold out for £23m (£15m Austin & £8m Phillips). Not saying they are necessarily worth that amount (namely the latter) but they're contracted to us so if they want them they can stump up the cash.
