Very good player but he will be 32 in September.
Any transfer fee we would pay for him, be it in cash or in part exchange, would be gone when his contract ends because he would have no sell-on value. So, it is imperative that we do not pay any fee for a player of that age, either in cash or in part exchange. And to prevent any illusions, we should keep any deal for Murray completely separate from any deal involving Austin, so that it is clear that we are not paying any fee for him.
We need to get smarter about how we manage our expenses.'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

Would be the best striker in the champ. Outstanding strikerUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Good age, fantastic finisher and better than Murray imo.

I think most who have actually seen this lad play know his potential and that he's a scorer. Would and will be a massive coup for anyone in the championship.
Key word again is championship. If he scored 1 in 4 in the pre, in a average team I'm sure he can average 1 in 3 minimum in our league. Also he's still progressing and should get even better.
