    It won't.

That is hilarious....unfortunately and sadly, it's all true. Didn't realize it all started with Blazer not filing a tax return. Damn, that's dumb. In this country, everyone knows that screwing the IRS out of their wedge of cash gets you into more trouble than crossing swords with the FBI.

I heard church bells ringing when it was announced.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

I'll predict right now, Blatter will be charged with something. The "Dirty 14" are singing like birds right now trying to get their sentences reduced, they're lining up to throw Blatter under the bus. There's no other reason to explain the sudden change where he was so smug on Friday and now he's resigned and left with hardly a whimper. The FIFA attorneys have finally gotten through to him what a world of shite he's in.

Here's the official 164 page indictment (pdf file)......seedy stuff.

Oh, that's disappointing. If you have time you might try searching "youtube john oliver fifa" to see if you can get a copy that is accessible in the U.K.

This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

The coup has been successful. Expect the world cups to be taken off Russia and Qatar and given to more westernised countries. Once the major western companies like visa, coca cola, mcdonalds etc got involved it was only a matter of time before he stood down. Money talks. We might get the 2018 tournament as we have the infrastructure etc. ready but thats about the only changes. It will still be corrupt and work in the favour of corporations, just with a guise as the "reformed" Fifa.

Reuters is reporting the FBI and the Swiss are investigating the 2018 & 2022 WC bids. Once you lift the carpet, you'll see all kinds of roaches scampering....

Hopefully this'll now result in Qatar and Russia being stripped of their dodgy hosting awards.

Not a fan of Russian politics and such, but I don't understand the enthusiasm of some people at the prospect of removing the 2018 WC from Russia. There isn't much time left and Russia is preparing for that event and judging by the recent Winter Olympics in Sochi they are perfectly capable of providing/adding the necessary infrastructure and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Nobody will be a winner if that event is relocated now.

Qatar OTOH is just plain weird as a venue for such a major tournament, won't shed a tear if they are stripped.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Isn't Estonia on Russia's radar after the Ukraine.
