I get what you're saying ginge that neither has had a managers job yet but at least clement has worked with the 1st teams of 3 of the biggest clubs in europe over the last 10 years. Before this season had Ramsey even taken a 1st team training session at a professional level? (in fact i may be wrong in that Ramsey probably helped sherwood in his half season at spurs but that doesnt compare to clement)

To be fair to Ramsey, he's dealt with management in America winning their version of the Championship....not much I know

I didn't know that? He managed a first team?

              Yep - won a title in 2003.

Also managed England Under-20s at the back end of the 90s.

Indeed mush not much at all. I intentionally included 'at a professional level' because I assumed that the US team were semi pro (based on the fact he managed them over 10 years ago and they werent in the top division) No comparison to Chelsea/PSG/Real Madrid over the last 10 years

Agree, this was an incredible day/evening - hugging Mick Jones in the Weld afters was a highlight, as was singing until the wee small hours - Wembley was spectacular, both are equal for me - and also equal with the day we got promoted from the 1st/old 3rd whatever it's ####ing called at Hillsborough, and what happened after that - 3 unbelievable peaks in an otherwise often trying 20 years...

As for Ancelotti - can't believe Fernandes knee-jerked with Ramsey when it was obvious Carlo was going to be available.

People have used arguement that we need change ethos and stop chasing players because of who they have previously played for and with but now some preach we should get a manager with zero experience because why???? Who he has worked with and where he has been

Exact decision process majority have been pleading we come away from. Can't have it all ways gents

So Instead you go for the complete opposite, someone who has hardly worked with 1st team players in their coaching career? Im not preaching for Clement, I just dont understand what Ramsey has going for him over Clement other than familiarity with Les. Personally I would have liked an open interview process with multiple candidates where the board can gauge each interviewee themselves instead of just relying on Les's word that Ramsey is the one. Its not like we have tried the 1 man shortlist idea before.....

I dont think anyone is saying Ramsey is better than Clement. Just everyone seemed to clamour for Clement to become our manager and some are just making the point that he has had as much, if not less, experience as Ramsey.

Fair enough. I would say that nobody really knows how either will fare as these will be their 1st managerial jobs. Maybe people were swung by Clement's Qpr links and the level of players and coaching techniques he has been exposed to and dejected by some of the inept performances under CR (even though the team wasnt his) but in truth nobody can really know how either will get on.
