wrong, we appointed a head coach. he will be coaching the players he is given.

You can't be like this in real life, surely?

You do realise this season isn't over yet and the transfer / loan window isn't open !?

Krill sadly I think the owners were naive and thought throwing money at a club = success

Often successful people think the same course of actions that made 1 business work can work in another.

I am sure on reflection they wish they would have done all of this when they took over but I admire a person who can admit they made mistakes and attempt to rectify them.

I PERSONALLY think this rectification is well on its way with those at the top realising they can't do it alone. I think the new appointments are sound in laying more stable foundations to move forward.

Obviously I don't know that for certain. Seems extremely unlikely to me that Parkes, Bowles, Francis, Webb, Masson, Thomas, Hollins, Givens in particular would all turn it down though.

Not a completely throwaway title with nothing to do surely?
What exactly makes Andy Sinton qualified to give his opinion on PR and marketing, or to work with commercial partners? He's an ex-footballer, not a business studies graduate. That aside, attending matches and the occassional community event is hardly intensive. Like I say, a throwaway title. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I really don't expect him to do all that much within the role, which is absolutely fine. I just don't see why some are so excited by it.

Fair enough, but attending the odd game and mixing with some of the prawn sandwich brigade on matchday would suffice. Doesn't need to be all that regular in all honesty if a few of them would agree to it. At the last fans forum, Marshy actually mentioned to TF that this was a route that he thought the club should go down, and that he would be honoured to be a part of it (or words to that effect), and he's 70. I take your point though.

More proper QPR people involved upstairs can only be a good thing. We cry out 'we want our rangers back' and it's starting to happen, yet some still moan and moan! Beginning to think it's a hobbie for them!

Is Andy Sinton a 'proper QPR person'? He played nearly as many games for Brentford as he did for us, and I don't especially associate him with them. You're probably right though, it can't do any harm.

Played 161 games for the club (more than any other club he played for)

Les who few would deny is proper QPR played 163

So yes I'd call him a proper QPR person

Unless of course the club did not need much rebuilding 5 years ago? But of course it did. I mean we all remember only too well the awful state the club was in when Briatore and co sold up. Almost 20 million pounds in the red compared to the current measly 100+ million, a coherent squad of players on moderate wages and languishing in that God awful Premier League that offers only about 532 pounds 90 pence in TV revenue per annum, thus with no chance whatsoever of eliminating that debt by the end of the season. The club was in a horrible state and the rebuilding should have started there and then!!!
The club has been a wreck since Paladini and his minions ruined it so the club did need rebuilding when the current board took over

The problem was they just thought spending money on high profile players was all you needed to do to make it a success they have now been burnt and hopefully have learnt their lessons

I think the point here is that both Les & Andy played their "best" football for Rangers during their career and therefore are more associated with us than any other clubs they may have played for during their careers.

I bet if you look back at threads with posters moaning about us taking so soooooooo long to get deals over the line for players like Hoillett, Mbia, Samba, Mutch, Caulker etc - These are the same people now slagging off the board for being foolish with money.
