I have a mixed view on this one. Of course he inherited a mess so its hard to blame him, although I cant for the life of me understand decisions such as playing Karl Henry on the left wing in our must win games. It baffled me and has left me worried as to what else he may do. He talks agood game, and excites me when he speaks about wanting flair, quick football on the ground etc however i have not seen any evidence whatsoever of this improving on the field. Theres no doubt that commitment and effort was raised but long balls to Zamora has remained the same. Im sure Ramsay will do well but considering we will be losing maybe 15 players or so, it seems a huge job for someone with no experience. Will players be attracted to the club now, who knows?

Once again we have given the job to the 1st person who has asked for it.
He may be a good coach but he has taken us down, being what looks to be 3 or 6 points short
Chris is 53, an experienced and well respected coach. In 3 years, maybe the likes of Clint Hill will have gained enough experience themselves to carry on with the job, assuming we aren't all begging Ramsey to stay and continue the remarkable job he has done so far.

Absolutely gutted
Ramsey a top youth coach but to manage us as a permanent manager until 2018 is ridiculous
So fed up with Fernandes, has shown he aint learnt nothing and aint got a clue how the game works, mistake after mistake
Prove me wrong Ramsey but can see this whole situation becoming a disaster and will be many years until we get back to the Prem

As i say, i would of liked a proper interviewing process in place.
I dont like to think it or say it but i cant help but think it could be partly a political appointment on behalf of Les, giving Ramsey the job. Les is a massive advocate of the Rooney rule, he has said so in numerous interviews in the past.

We need to try a very different approach to that which we have failed miserably with lately. Would far rather fail trying something new than by making the same mistakes again. At least it would be something new to moan about.

In the cold light of day this is a sensible appointment. How many more big name managers would you like to see come through our doors on fantastic contracts that end in a sacking leading to huge settlement fees being paid (bleeding us dry). If (and there's always an if) it's is exactly what we need folks, how long have we suffered bad press for this that & the other, and still do. With the board we have atm we will be the 1st club to have a fully established black manager who from what I've seen actually cares about the club/the club he's working at & not who he can sign in jan transfer window.
Onwards & upwards
