This appointment is not about next week, next month or even next season. It's about the long term future of our Club. The strategy had to change and it had to change now. We cannot buy ready made superstars under the age of 25 and cannot change raw potential into performing ability in 5 minutes. So it will take time and yes people will moan like hell next season if we are not in the top half of the table. But the Club must stick with the blueprint no matter how loud the moaning becomes. I want a Rangers I can be proud of in 5+ years time and with ongoing sustainability, not just a team of unmotivated under performers signing up for another disastrous tilt at the PL the season after next.

I'm pleased.
CR can now either stand or fall on his own decisions and more importantly,as a club, we are getting things sorted nice and early..... maybe the dawn of a new way of thinking?
It's very easy to whine about this being a poor decision, as unless you are Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger, there is an awfully good chance that the doom mongers will be proved right.

If we don't start strongly next year, which is extremely likely given the amount of change that needs to happen in the playing staff, they'll be the ones demanding he be sacked, demanding new signings, and demanding instant improvement.
This is long term, it has to be. Coming straight back up is not the be all and end all next year. Showing signs that the ethos of the club is changing and getting back to being QPR again is the important thing.
As for myself, a bit disappointed we didn't go after Warburton, as he'd be a perfect bloke to build long term with. But pleased and of course will support CR fully nonetheless.
now lets see if we can quickly sort out the squad and get the right players in for a proper season.Rangers Til I Die

I will certainly be giving him 100% backing until he starts regularly repeating mistakes, like the last idiot.

Good luck to Chris and Les, hope most show lots of paitence and not the knee jerk some on here are.
Going to take a good while rebuilding the shambles our club is in, that's down to Hughes, Saggychops and Tone having his pants pulled down. Give em a chance FFSFrom the Hills of Kerry

As a long time QPR fan I will support the team no matter what, I just can't understand how so many are pleased with this news, am I missing something? I understand Ramsey inherited someone else's players but to me he only showed tactical ineptness and proved he wasn't up to the job, we shall see!@gatorTFC

What's the difference between a head coach and a manager?
And what other clubs i might of heard of have a 'head coach', and not a 'manager'?

We've gone from appointing managers with loads of experience for a sh*t load of money, to a manager with no experience and not a lot of money. Can we just find something in the middl? Will get behind him though, for three weeks at least...

Doesnt matter who the coach or manager is now.. Les is running the club.

I would be happy with this appointment if we had gone through a proper interviewing process, looked at other candidates and though CR was still the man... and The fact is we havent.
Once again we have given the job to the 1st person who has asked for it.
He may be a good coach but he has taken us down, being what looks to be 3 or 6 points short
