What is important now is that for once, we assemble next season's squad asap. Make the end of June the absolute latest deadline for those under contract who may wish to bail out, to do so. If we have identified potential targets, then the same should apply, sign by then or go elsewhere. The time has come for the board and management team to do what is right and the best thing for QPR football club first and foremost, rather than being held to ransom by greedy and uncommitted individuals that think they are better than they are.

I for one will be relatively happy provided we are at least in with a shout of a top 6 finish throughout the season, provided it is being done with a sensible approach, rather than a combination of spending money and a reliance on over hyped reputations.

I was very afraid of this appointment and players liking him is simply not good enough, first time in years I will not be re-newing my S/T feeling gutted by this appointment especially when the likes of big Sam and war burton are available 😩

Are we not going down (the generally accepted) route of interviewing candidates any more then? First cab off the rank at QPR. Ramsey has done absolutely nothing to warrant getting the job in the first place; giving him a 3 year contract is madness IMO.

Brand new team, club, Philosophy next term, right man for this period in our club. More emphasis on youth and bringing through or own , whilst looking for up and coming players elsewhere. May take a while with this, no quick fix this time but the club will be stronger in the long run.

I'm a optimist as well. All this talk of getting relegated is rubbish to me. If we keep the players of Fer and Phillips ilk and for that matter even caulker and add sensibly not many teams will fancy playing us. I think we got a decent shot of going straight back up imo.

Just as long as that also applies to those who inexplicably think this is a sensible appointment. Won't make for much a forum though.

This is absolutely true, but this thread alone is showing that plenty of fans do not have the patience for us ever to rebuild this club the way it needs.

If we don't start strongly next year, which is extremely likely given the amount of change that needs to happen in the playing staff, they'll be the ones demanding he be sacked, demanding new signings, and demanding instant improvement.

This is long term, it has to be. Coming straight back up is not the be all and end all next year. Showing signs that the ethos of the club is changing and getting back to being QPR again is the important thing.

Big Sam would get you to renew. Wow. Yes he has done well but I go to football to be slightly entertained. Big Sam isn't a long term option and long term is the only way we can look from now on
