Oh well, not my number 1 choice, but anyway: I would like to be surprised and watch him do well, hence I will support him and his team, on and of the pitch, 100%. Amen.

Ramsey got phillips firing and played Fer in his right position. We lacked all year down the left with a massively unbalanced squad. What did you expect from him.

If we can keep the likes of Matty, Fer, bleed a couple of our youth in and few new signings of Ramses and Les choices who have already said they will be scouring the championship and lower leagues for now on then to me this is the club exactly delivering what most of us has wanted for a long time. Yet now the club are doing it and finally building foundations and employed a person who wants to buy up and coming players rather than has been sand mercenaries our fans are now moaning. Typical.

The hunt for new players must start now! Good post, though.

Lets give him a chance, give him a chance to build with his own players and be patient.

This is a massive re-building job... staying up the aim next season with a whole new back room staff and players

              Disturbing lack of eyebrow...

On a serious note, 50-50 with this one. We've gone from appointing managers with loads of experience for a sh*t load of money, to a manager with no experience and not a lot of money. Can we just find something in the middl? Will get behind him though, for three weeks at least...

A man highly praised for working with young players and with a track record of producing them as able to step up to the first team. A new philosophy of doing exacty that and promoting from within. A policy of bringing in lower league players with ability and potential. All makes total sense and is good news. This Club is on its knees and implementing this strategy is a long term project. None of the above will happen by magic overnight.
So yes, a 3 year contract also makes sense and let's hope they don't boot him out at the first sign of trouble because, despite the delusion of some, we are not going to take the world by storm in 5 minutes.
A one year deal, seriously - why would anyone even suggest that

                      Ridiculous decision, completely deflated
I should probably write something insightful here

Hand on heart can you say you are confident ? he's played some good football and some crap football ,
but his use of subs leave me less than impressed

Rewarding failure, thought Les had said the club had "Learnt its lessons"

                              Well said.

I, personally, and quite pleased with it. We have been down the road of high profile managers and look where that got us! Ramsey has a lot to proove but I think he has shown glimpses of being a decent gaffer - he isn't afraid to make changes early & to mix the formation up to change a game (something Redknapp could never do).

As blue says, I think it sets out our stool for the way we are hoping to conduct our business in the future. We have been crying out for some continuity for a long time now.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Maybe he's seen as the cheap option and we're severely cutting our cloth
