This Club is on its knees and implementing this strategy is a long term project. None of the above will happen by magic overnight.
So yes, a 3 year contract also makes sense and let's hope they don't boot him out at the first sign of trouble because, despite the delusion of some, we are not going to take the world by storm in 5 minutes.
A one year deal, seriously - why would anyone even suggest that
    Excellent post.

If only we had made such a ridiculous decision over two years ago. We would probably have saved much embarrassment, untold millions of pounds and been close to completing the job required at the time.

And Redknapp would be on Ukrainian TV chat shows, attempting to tell his little anecdotes of his 30 years of not achieving very much whilst trying to place the blame for the poor football on a civil war.

To me it's simply amazing... The same people crying out for big names signings are now crying out for big name managers.

Many have already judged Les and CR on a relegation bound season, god help us for any hopes of a considered rebuild if these people are expecting instant results.

NO manager can guarantee success but many can guarantee huge expense, we have form.

If you really can't bear the thought of Les and CR may I suggest that just for a few months you keep a lowish profile until as you expect we don't succeed, I suspect you may be disappointed.

Les was with us when we still had our identity and was a perfect example of what many of us on here are hoping for - good scouting, developed whilst at the club and going on to play for England and worth much more than we paid for him.

We would develop players, sell them & then replace.. Ie sinton ---> Sinclair

Charlie is another good example of the way of QPR of old.. Bought from a championship club and now worth much more than we bought him for - sadly that example is far too rare these days.

Just give the guy a bloody chance at least until the end of next season.

        Preachy rant over...

I agree with you, his lack of experience in what is a very tough league has to be the chief concern regarding this appointment. Time will tell if this is yet another TF blunder. Big risk IMO but obviously I'll get behind him.

Good to nip this in the bud early. Good appointment. I find it crazy that some fans on here, seem to blame Ramsey for Harry's failures.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Sorry, but I think this is completely the wrong appointment.

Basically this appointment is purely so Les can handle Ramsey as he wants like a puppet on a string.

Doesnt matter who the coach or manager is now.. Les is running the club.

It is a very realistic thought to think we could get relegated again.

I do think this is correct. There will be input from both Ramsey and sir les but I think led will have to allow the manager the final say. They have worked together for many years and I don't see this being a major concern. At least we know they have an eye for good young players. Let's not forget Ramsey was a big factor in harry Kane's success and mason and others have flourished and that's excites me

Bet on it and get seriously rich then. The odds are massive, and we are favourites to go straight back up. But its realistic we will do a double relegation.

Brand new team, club, Philosophy next term, right man for this period in our club. More emphasis on youth and bringing through or own , whilst looking for up and coming players elsewhere. May take a while with this, no quick fix this time but the club will be stronger in the long run.

Think we will be fine next year with a good summer of planning......... Think we're nailed on for play-offs at least if we can keep 2 or 3 or our quality young players (IMO).

Can you ever post without the sarcasm. It would be nice if you at least tried but habits die hard unfortunately
