  • Telegraph Online just said,,,, Ramsey !

Two year deal. Warburton interviewed but wanted managerial position not as head coach working with a DOF. Anyone heard anything ? If it is, I think we all thought the club were heading in this direction. Not a real surprise ? Case of support and let's move on. Who knows what the future holds, short or long term.

Will support him as always but it's the wrong decision . The club should be interviewing several people like any normal job not just the easy option . I will be very disappointed if this is true

I'm sure Ramsey will get the job. I think we all need to forget what Ramsey has done since 1st Feb. it hasn't been his squad. This is the time where we can shift the rest of the overpaid dross and move on with our future. Wright Phillips and co will be gone and we can now start to rebuild without the bad smell around the place.

It quite possibly won't be a over night job though so we have to stick with them now and the rewards will be reaped in a few years. In the meantime I hope we build a squad to push for promotion and well and look to the kids.

telegraph article doesn't actually say anything that anyone on here wouldn't guess...

            ramsey probably to be retained.
austin probably sold, maybe green too
unlikely to offer older players like barton a new contract

If it's true then I'll certainly support him - I think the flack he's got is harsh - give him a pre-season and see what he can do with his own squad. We've also got the best chance of keeping some of the better players if CR remains as he is well respected by them.

He was always going to get the job after Suckling was made the youth coach. The club was never going to release him given his relationship with Ferdinand, so manager was the only option if they wanted to keep him. With that said, it is clearly the wrong appointment. Should've given it another fortnight to a month of interviewing multiple candidates and carefully considering the best applicant. Novel idea, but it seems to work for most clubs.

                  Well respected? On what basis?

Players refusing to go on when we needed a result, players storming out after not getting named.

He's also not respected in the fan base, and in my opinion that's fully justified.

Well respected by the players who have given a #### this year and not those who sulked because they weren't picked or thought they were too good to be on the bench.

You may not respect him which is your opinion, but within the game is a highly respected coach, so let's support him if he gets the job rather than writing him off before he's been given a fair crack of the whip.

Think it's a big risk to give Ramsey on permanent basis. I'd much prefer someone who's managed teams in championship or even league 1 before.

Please no, he is in his mid 50's and never managed
a first team says it all. I hope it is not a race thing as people should be judge on their talent not race

Right choice. Harshly judged by many who haven't noticed what a sh!t squad we have.
