  • Charlie Austin won't be sold on the cheap, warns QPR director of Football LesFerdinand

    Music to my ears!

QPR director of football Les Ferdinand has warned Premier League clubs that top scorer Charlie Austin will not be sold on the cheap.
    ...
"But I'm not even going to talk about what figure we will ask for from other clubs because we are going to try and keep him."

Think this is good move by club and dare I say it professional approach. They have set their stall out we don't want to sell him and if we do it won't be for peanuts so don't come wasting our time.

    Well done club

We wont keep him. I hope we get as much as possible out of whoever gets him. Personally wouldn't be happy with anything under £15m. Hey if Andy flipping Carroll is £35m I think £15m is reasonable.

If it's one of the top clubs then we should be asking no less then £15mil and one of their prospects on season long loan i.e. Liverpool Ibe on loan

Newcastle wants to sign him. Like they going to play for PL next season for sure, considering their current form. Maybe they better secure their PL status first and then offer a good money for him

He was never going to stay, so the club should stick a high price tag on him, say£15m - £20m and make it clear to 'all' clubs what it is. You never know a bidding war could start up and we end up getting some serious dollar for him, also at least this way we know what the minimum amount would be.
              SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Now this is one of the best changes I've seen at the club, hope there are many more to come.

Would've loved to have heard that Charlie won't be sold at all, but if no realistic offer comes Autin stays to try and help us back to the prem,

Good news this. Time to play hardball... Think Charlie will leave and he deserves to, but only at the right price.
