What players do we keep as nucleus for the future?

Assuming we lose Austin, Green and Henry; shed Caulker, Traore, SWP

McCarthy -- solid keeper who'll become one of Championship's best
Yun -- speed and more experience on the left side
Dunne -- heart and soul of the defense; veteran leadership; like Clint Hill, one more season
Onouha -- has chance to become the central core of our defense for the future
Furlong -- a star in the making
Phillips -- night and day improvement this season; will be prolific scorer next year in Championship League
Fer -- could be the POTY in next division
Sandro -- if he goes injury free, will excel in C'ship League
Barton -- could use his senior leadership if he'll re-up for one year
Greco-Cox, Mike Patrasso, Doughty -- budding potential

Add to this nucleus a hopeful healthy Faurlin, two or three strikers, and two more wing backs.

With Ramsey in charge from the beginning, could be enough to get us back to PL in fall of 2016

Ramsey as more or less got the job anyway, I can't see sandro,fer or matty staying, Rangers will first want to get the wage bill in order. So if joey doesn't want a pay cut he will be gone to, Rangers need some new blood anyway

anyone that's out of contract at the end of this season is going to have to take a hefty pay cut if they want to stay with us (we really need to go back to the days of having no one on more than £15k a week), so i suspect barton, for one, will be on his way elsewhere. (i guess no one in their right mind would be offered a contract or sign one before the football league confirm that we'll be readmitted to the championship in any case).

no idea what sandro is on, but reckon it's high enough that, if someone comes in with a vaguely sensible offer for him, we should offload his wages too

I was talking to a lady on the coach on the way back from liverpool, and she said whoever does these contacts for players needs shooting, we have to offer reasonable contracts in the region off 15k to 30k at the most, we should get a nice few bob from the sale off charlie,fer,caulker,matty, am not sure about sicknote sandro probably 2 Bob for him
