  • Austin to finally receive England call up

Harry Kane is set to feature for the U21s as they prepare for the euros, so Charlie Austin will be called up for games against Slovenia and the Republic of Ireland.

"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

I lost interest when I read the line .. Could earn a surprise call up!!
Even if we lose Austin, I would like to see him play for our country, I can see him being another Lineker type player.

It's not harsh. Whether we go down or stay up, Austin is gone in the summer, to a bigger club. And he deserves it too, he's far too good for the Championship or the bottom of the Premier League.

Wish him all the best in the world, but regarding next season even if we play in the CC he ls till contracted to our club and sure we need him?

Think he will do well for England though.

I might even go and watch England if this happens. Made up for him, no one deserves it more than our Charlie.

But, like Charlie, didn't do much outside the eighteen yard box.

This I agree with. Very much. He's a grafter. It's not his fault he hasn't pace. He makes everything he gets.

Apart from the watching England bit. I couldn't care two hoots about England.

Good for Charlie, not so good for us. Still, I wouldn't have it any other way, he deserves it.

Must admit, I don't care much about England anymore either.

                              The geordies are after him.
Derby's ex-England boss tops Toon hit-list but will want proof of their ambition before leaving Championship side he could yet get promoted this season
