As Ramsey said, don't blame Green, yes it was a poor kick but we had ample chance to defend it but we didn't

Has the time finally come to give Alex McCarthy a go?...Ooh northern lads love gravy

In play off Final first half from memory did he not try and kick it out short fall over doing it and set Derby on the attack as he gave it to Martin??? the man is dangerous when he has to use his feet

Not entirely sure why it's taken yesterday's game for a lot of you to realise that Green isn't up to it. I would wager that he has cost us as many points as he's saved this season. Never inspires confidence in the back four. How a team fighting relegation can leave a £6million goalkeeper on the bench all season really does sum us up.Last edited by surrey_hoop; 13-04-2015, 08:34 AM.

The whole point of signing a highly rated young goalkeepper like McCarthy is so they can provide competition for Green - it's pretty hard to compete when your only involvement is in training or in the warm up. Green has been no better than average for me this season (made some wonderful saves but thrown just as many clangers), and at 35 he will not stay past this season anyway. The problem is, McCarthy must be so bereft of confidence that I can't see how he can be thrown into such a high pressure situation as the one we find ourselves in at the moment. It's almost like Green has to play every week until May, regardless of how he's performing.

Just hope he is told he is in the future plans as a number 1
