  • Thanks for everything Greeno...but time now for McCarthy?

His distribution was poor again today and he always seems to have a blunder in him. Having good reflexes and being a great shot-stopper just isn't enough to be a top-class keeper.

Has the time finally come to give Alex McCarthy a go?...

Yep, time to bring McCarthy in.

Green shouldn't be here next year and after single handedly costing us the derby, he can drop down.

I think Mourinho whispered in his ear, "Give a goal away, we will sign you."

        I think that's a bit harsh.

Green is a good shot-stopper, but he is without doubt the worst keeper in the Premier League and probably even the Championship for using his feet. He never looks comfortable. I won't criticise him, though, because he's done well for us - especially in the Championship. But I think it's time to give Alex McCarthy a chance next season

We'll need to sign him first. Alex McCarthy could be a good shout though.

Next year McCarthy will be in net. Atleast we dont have to worry about that hole.

                  Alex*

Yes a few of us have been critical of him this season (myself being one of them) , but as I have said in the matchday thread - Green makes superb point blank saves, but he blunders up everytime with goal kicks and clearances, and more importantly lack communication and leadership around his defence.

Also one interesting thing I notice everytime (not sure how many of you spot it as well), Onuoha NEVER plays the ball to Green when being chased down - he'd rather clear it or concede a throw in. Goes to show how much confidence defenders have in Green

Oops sorry, its been so long since he's been mentioned I'd forgotten his first name. Corrected now.

I will never ever see Green in a QPR shirt again. Give our second keeper a chance now.

Think Green will see the season out, not sure it's time to chop and change.

Whatever happens Green should be off in summer and McCarthy number 1.

Hard to believe, this. For once, our defence does it's job, only for Green to mess it all up because ha cannot kick a ball properly.
The keepers were the deciding factor. Theirs made a couple of great saves, ours had nothing at all to do other than give them all the points.
Agree Matt, let's give McCarthy a chance as this joker is an accident waiting to happen every game.

Made a mistake but also makes plenty of good saves that keeps the score down.

Did you see the stats before the match today, worst defence, most shots at any keeper and we have the worst record of any team.

Let's say we put Alex in next game, he makes a mistake then what?
