If TF does call it a day it will be a very sad day in Rangers history ! Yes we will carry on but the hounding of TF is absurd I really don't get it. Everyone makes mistakes in life and he has made a few in his tenure at Rangers but he is a good man and does not deserve the abuse he is getting from some on here, god knows how some of you would have dealt with Gregory or Thompson with the mistakes they also made.

I also wonder what planet some posters on here are on. I wish they would realise that they are part of a tiny like-minded minority. It is the curse of the instant communication world we live in that literally anyone can post an opinion, no matter how ill-informed they are. Whilst arguably free speech is something to cling on to, the way some posters use the site - for example by "disguising" obscenities by the liberal uses of deliberate spelling mistakes etc. is both childish and embarrassing. Tony is a decent bloke -he has shown this many times - he has clearly in all senses bought into our beloved Rangers. The abuse he receives boils my blood.

People will then moan about the next chairman who comes in, what would the odds be on that?

It's the usual mob on here that don't see the potential of the club. They seem to want the club going back to how things were in the years after 1996.

Oh well, at least they'll have "their" Rangers back.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

The "potential" for the club is that we will be back in the Championship again, worse off than we were nearly 4 years ago when he bought the club. It's not a question of liking or disliking the bloke (I have to admit that he always comes across as quite an affable, albeit deluded character); the question is has his tenure as chairman been a successful one? I think I could argue quite confidently that it hasn't. Talking about fans wanting to go back to the dark days of the late 90's really is ridiculous, and I honestly don't think you truly believe that to be the case. What we want is financial backing, a sensible business model, and a chairman capable of making logical decisions, not rooted in short-termism. Not too much to ask for. Could Fernandes make good on his promises and ambitions for the club? Possibly. All the "minority" are saying is that we won't be holding our breath...and neither should you.

Careful for what some of you lot wish for.....

Tony has been a breath of fresh air for me... Yes, he has made mistakes but he has continued to be open about everything with all us fans.
I believe he would get it right eventually - I'll be gutted if he steps down.

And the truth is if he leaves, we could be heading back down this route.

Or we could be heading forward with someone who knows what they are doing.

There is a big difference between stepping down as chairman and selling up. Maybe he will keep his stake but give someone else the Reigns.

Maybe its time Amit spent less time on the slopes of St Moritz and the beaches of the carribean and took a day to day role at the club.

Sadly the majority bashing the TF-bashing minority (?!) don't seem to understand this. We want evolution, not revolution.

If you're thinking about Amit that's not going to happen, too busy. We couldn't sell the club before, why would people jump to buy us now?

If and when Fernandes decides to sell the club, I think it's safe to say it will be when he already has a buyer lined up. He managed to get rid of Caterham sharpish, and he was asking a lot more for them than he would for us. If I recall, he stated that he had no intention of selling the team in May...and then did sell them in July. His rhetoric concerning QPR over recent months has been uncannily similar.

The thing about Tony is that is hasn't been boring, has it? Stayed up by the skin of our teeth, went down, came up, fighting (since WBA) to stay up. Quite a ride. On top of going up the year before he came, it's been qute a rollercoaster. Who'd be a Spurs fan?

No I'm not thinking about Amit at all. Just saying that just because TF may step down / resign as Chairman it doesn't necessarily mean it will be for the worse. There is always someone somewhere and I would imagine the Board will be looking towards the future of the club.
