I think he is on 9 yellows - 1 more and he's suspended again - am I right?

Talking of yellows he got one yesterday for nothing but some of the tackles he took which the Ref turn a blind eye too are simply not fair. It seems its one rule for Joey and another for the opposition"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane

Of course refs should treat everyone the same, and referee every incident from a completely neutral standpoint, but they're human and have preconceived notions of players like we all do.

Not entirely fair or correct Ku. Not everyone's cup of tea but no matter what he has done in the past it don't give refs the right to ignore some of the challenges that he takes during the game which are waved away and for him to be booked for challenges which others get away with and which when they are on him are ignored. This is not about the individual its about consistency of the refs to be fair and apply the laws

But the way he is treated is because of a reputation he has, and that reputation is entirely earned by his own actions.

WBA players were falling over left, right and centre yesterday. It was a definite ploy of theirs to play balls to tightly marked colleagues who'd promptly collapse on receiving the ball. Does my head in when you see big lumps like Amichebe or Ideye getting poleaxed by a brush of an index finger..... muggy ref bought them all day long though - good job we handled the incoming free kicks very solidly.
Trouble is, most of our players must have been walking a tightrope under "persistent fouling" and in such circumstances Barton's a shoe-in to be booked. One thing, although he has right to speak to ref as captain I don't think it does him any favours.... I'd make someone else skipper and order Barton to keep away from ref at all times.... he can still be a leader on the pitch, just not the person nominated to get in ref's earhole.
