  • Just Back...We are Serious Candidates

Okay, I'm not getting carried with a draw at Newcastle, but this does come after smashing Barnsley, beating caridff easily and putting up a good performance against Chelsea.

It seems Jim magilton knows his best 11 and now we are reaping the awards, with fine displays and a good team understanding with all players. For me, Watson is the key player. We remain optimistic that the Wigan valuation iof Watson is something we will match, but lets face if Wigan scouts are watching him, they might value him a bit more after recent performances. You can see the difference he makes and if the club have real ambitions of going up or at least making the play offs, we need to buy him. Simples. He is that important to any progression this club makes this season. We have two leaders now in the middle and it shows.

The other concern for me is strength in depth, and the worry that someone like Rowan Vine continues to be the weakest link. Hard to be critical of good performances, but the bench mark has definitely risen and we might need a more of a target man. Vine, at least is a fine team player and is trying his hardest and I would like to see him score, as I feel this will enhance his performances. When, you look at the bench its good, but probably not good enough to sustain a challenge for a TOP 2 position and we will definitely get injuries. Personally, think that a TOP 6 spot is well within reach and it depends how seriously the club regard the chances of going up, as we need sensible additions to compete for automatic promotion, I see no reason why we cannot be challenging the like of Newcastle, who without question are the team in this league that will be vying for champions of this league along with WBA.

It is also important, that the team who play so well against the so called better teams maintain the form against the lesser teams, who we have not performed particularly well against. if anyone would say after 9 games, we would only have lost 1 game, we would have all taken it. We need to maintain the form against Swansea who are definitely beatable and then we will be a in good position with a number of home games to come.

The volume at away games is rising.

The crowd are definitely reacting to the positive play and the moment everything is on the up.

      Two things though.

Dear Club. Do not raise prices as you would have learn't from last season and secondly don't underestimate anyone in this league. Swansea don't look much cop, but they did just beat Sheffield United and and we need to take the same level of recent perfromances there for one more game, before the 2 week break.

It was a great night scott, we were loud and proud united QUEENS PARK RANGERS FC!

The players continue to put in 100% effort, i mean seriously there wasnt one player out there that didnt put in a real shift last night, the same go's for the last few games.

Even if we had lost last night i would have stood and clapped them until they went off the pitch. There currently producing determined, and sprited performances, and with us right there to back them up were progressing.
Our away support is fantastic, now if we could produce half the noise we do away at home i see no reason why we cant cheer on the superhoops to a top 6 finish...
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Agree with everything there Pete, having been to Cardiff and Newcastle games there seems to be a real buzz starting to build around the club and a more positive mood about things, the team really seems to have clicked and look like they are enjoying playing!

When I look at the table I find that we are 11th. This tells me that it is so important to get points from the start of the competition ALREADY.
iF we had bought Watson and Simpson in the summer we would have been right up there.:red_heart::money::money::red_heart:

Don't get too carried away Pete.

We would and should have been clear at the top of the table had we beaten absolutely shocking teams like Blackpool and P/boro at home and Plymouth away so i think i'll wait till we play some more of the top guns.

Last night was superb but still need to stop hoofing the ball up to poor Simpson, for 80% of last nights game we outplayed Newcastle with our crisp passing game and they couldn't handle that but when we booted up field we were on the back foot again.

Watson is the key for me,i for one found the transfer stupid as we had plenty of midfielders but him and Rowly are complementing eachother well in the middle,we need to lose Mahon and one other central midfielder(i have nothing against these btw) and sign Watson permanantly.

                            Stewart is the problem.
We need to play connelly in the centre of defence.
I couldn't go to the game but it sounded like he was lumping it long.
To play a good passing game it is also important that your centre backs have composure and can pass the ball. I think we will see connelly left and hall in the middle but I would leave borrowdale and play connelly in his natural position. Stewart is overrated.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
