Short of injury, or an unwillingness to play, why has Vargas spent so much time in CR's doghouse? How else do you explain keeping a World Cup calibre forward (not midfielder) out of action, especially in light of Joey Barton's comment this week that poor recruitment has left QPR with a starting eleven incapable of avoiding relegation. On the front line, Vargas gives us what the noble but slow Zamora can't: a weapon with pace.

Why isn't Vargas starting every game?

Possibly be because he's only on loan and Ramsay wants to play permanent players. Could also explain why Isla was dropped and kranjcar barely plays (although with kranjcar could also be becUse he's rubbish). Interesting that he brought on Greco-Cox ahead of Vargas to play right wing against palace.
Either way I would love to see him start on the left with Taarabt in the middle behind Austin, Phillips on the right as an attacking 4

Whatever they are unless injured, he should have played more games under Ramsey.
Zamora did well at Sunderland when Austin was injured but has been poor ever since then. Grego-cox as a sub at Palace was just a foolish substitution or perhaps he had given up on the game and thought what the hell I will play this kid.

The reason he doesn't start is simply because Harry failed to buy another ball playing CM. Fer & Faurlin are our only ones and are injured. That means we have to play 2 talentless chasers like Sandro/Barton/Henry in the middle of the park and create nothing. This then means Zamora has to play to be our "out ball" and Charlie must also start as he's our top scorer. Vargas is not a winger, so he doesn't start.
If Fer was fit Bobby would be a 25 min mate from the bench for me and we could play through teams with Vargas and Austin up front. We would stay up.
