My honest opinion chaps from my question is we'd be around where Everton/Palace are.... Our biggest down fall this season is our shocking away results... had we been set up correctly and been more ruthless we'd have a few away wins to our name. That on top of our original home results and we'd be pretty much safe by now imho!

Those options for the left side are shocking. Feel sorry for the LB with either those in front of me. The options for the middle are physically strong and solid but Sandro is injured more often than not and there is a lack of good ball players in that list.

It surprises me that people don't do that in general. Didn't mean to sound condescending or something along that line, if I did, I apologize but it isn't really right to suggest that I'm blaming everyone else, when I have actually said it to you in particular too. But no worries.
If this post was directed to me then surely you would have said you instead of people?

Most teams have at least 3 or 4 proper strikers; Zamora is past it, adel isnt a striker, grego cox shouldnt be considered and I havent a clue where vargas is supposed to play, which is confirmed by the fact you named him as a striker and a winger. That just leaves Charlie and that is our major problem IMO. If we had a couple of strikers to play with Charlie, 1 to play the target man role, hold it up and allow our team to get further up the pitch instead of constantly having to deal with counter attacks because we knock it up there and the ball just comes straight back. The other striker would ideally be pacey, making runs in behind to stretch the defence. If we could constantly mix up the way we play with these combinations of strikers I think it would give us a real attacking threat and help the defence out by giving them a breather once in a while.

Green
Isla... Caulker... Ned... Yun
Barton... Sandro/Henry
Philips... Fer ... Vargas
Austin
IMHO this team would cause 'a lot' of problems for most Prem sides.
If we need to go slightly more defensive in a 4.4.2 then Philps on the right and Adel/Niko on the left (like I said before our biggest weakness was/is the left side) and put Austin and Vargas up front. Because of our lack of options I reckon if we'd stuck to 2 basic formations throughout the season, had a bit of consistency, we'd be a much more settled as a side. I honestly think we've had/got the players to stay up. All about playing them correctly imho.Last edited by Nick; 24-03-2015, 04:20 PM.SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Pick the team after every defeat and say 'this team would win matches' cos it makes no difference whatsoever, we will lose again and again and again and again. If it makes anyone feel better add pele, maradonna, gazza, messi and Ronaldo to your fantasy dream team to keep us up. Don't let anybody tell you to stop dreaming and fantasizing if that floats your boat
