PC would be ready imo. Look at his CV as you don't coach the worlds best in Ronaldo, Bale, Ibrahimovic, etc etc if you don't know what you are doing, and those players speak highly of him if you look it up. He has probably learn't a lot from Ancelloti and he has done the business as Chelsea, PSG, and Real Madrid.

Mourinho started out as a translator. They all got to start somewhere. QPR at the moment, the style, the coaching, the fitness side is all from the 90's at the moment. PC a top coach will come straight in and bring fresh ideas that we desperatley need.

My only worry is even though he supports the club would he want to join the circus and damage his good reputation.

Allardyce is Redknapp mark 2 nothing is his fault , wants to spend money and plays awful football

We need a manager who can build something and not just a short term fix

Our goal next season should be survival as we will have no players and a massive FFP fine to contend with

I'm sorry but the people that call for survival will be the same people moaning after 3 games that the manager is wrong, the board need to be sacked. The new signings are rubbish. 80% of the people on here want to build but after 3 games we need to start again. Look how many people have already turned on ramsey.

The only way some of you on here are happy is if we win 3-0 + with 100% possession.
What we need to do and should of done in January is spent the money to stay up and balance the squad out

I think you will find it will be people with stupid expectations like going straight back up who will be moaning after 3 games

Also we spent loads of money in Jan the last time we went down and didn't help us so I think the board did the correct thing when they didn't spend any money , Redknapp wasted the money in the summer and he is to blame for this mess along with TF

            Back to basics. Martin Allen.

            Joking.

No, I think Steve McLaren would be the right choice. If he had been our manager in the Championship last time round I think we would've got automatic promotion. He favours youth and has the tactical nous that HR lacked. He was pretty unlucky not to get Derby promoted last season, and yet he took them over when they were languishing near the bottom. And it seems premature to write him off with Derby this season. They're in the play-off places with 7 games to go.

We could go the young manager route, but that's an experiment. Will the board be more patient to return to the promised land this time? Are they prepared to rebuild properly? McLaren kind of represents the best of both worlds, whereas for me Allardyce seems another Redknapp and Paul Clement an expensive Ramsey. But it's all idle speculation at this point anyway.

Not for me, think he is well overhyped. Had a massive budget with MK Dons (given the level they play at) and has ailed to even get them out of league 1 for, what, 3 seasons in a row now?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Big Sam would get us promoted, Mick McCarthy has done well past few seasons with a pretty cack Ipswich team without money to spend. Paul Clement would be exciting but i doubt wether he would come to us the way we are. Massive appointment this, can't afford to get this wrong. Saying that Watford have had about 3 managers this season and are still on course for autos.

Would like McClaren but i very much doubt he would leave Derby and come to the circus would he?

Why would any respectable manager whether young with ambition or experienced with a track record want to come to us.

Got to agree with this, the next manager needs to be someone who can totally revamp the club, from squad to the youth team & coaches. McClaren would be ideal but there's no chance he's leaving Derby to join this mess.

I've no faith in TF's ability to make the right call though.
