    Fair point.

Only thing I would say is that he obviously trusted Harry's experience to turn it around but should really have looked at Harry's record in the PL the last time we were there.

Ultimately whoever is in charge of the first team should bear the responsibility of the performances on the pitch though.

No, but he is responsible for appointing the people who are. At a football club, the buck stops with the owner. Always has, always will.

In terms of managers under Tony he's not done that bad.... 'at the time' MH was a good appointment, like he's proving at Stoke he's not a bad manager.... 'at the time' Harry was the fans favourite for the England job and was the Rangers fans favourite to take over from MH.

BUT where Tony's gone wrong imo is putting to much trust/money in his managers. Had MH been given a sensible amount to spend on players I reckon he'd still be here..... (in the Premiership)

Which says a lot more about how the club is being run than anything else

TF wanted big names and big signings and Hughes did exactly that

In that case, he was responsible for our promotion too. Well done Tony Fernandes!

Which's probably why we will be appointing Clement in the summer

I've backed Tony for months and months but i must say even i am starting to turn. How many good coaches have we had at the club now and seemingly none of them can succeed. How long do we keep blaming it on managers for?

I like TF, he seems like a top man but im not sure how much longer i can go on defending him.

We need a total fresh. All these players need to leave bar a couple.

Tony's fault ! has a manager listens to him then listens to somebody else , gets a new manager ( hughs) listens to him , listens somebody else , gets a new manager ( Redknapp) listens to him , listens to Les , gets a coach and here we are in shlt street

At the time Hughes ticked all the right boxes as to why he'd be a good manager here, I dont/wont hold his appointment against TF!.... the problem was the money that was spent under him. Agree TF shouldve pulled the rains in, but that was just putting his trust/faith in a decent manager.

In that case, he'll be responsible for 2 relegations in 3 seasons. Not so well done Tony Fernandes.
