Kev if we don't stay up it will be a certainty that he will be gone.

Woy won't pick austin if he is scoring goals in the championship, and the lad certainly won't risk what could be a very bright england career.

He deserves to play with better players so I will actually be gutted he has gone but happy for him!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

See your point weare, but in all reality chaz might get a couple of token friendlies, but that england striker place is all harry kanes isnt it??
And same as you, if he goes i will only want him to do well as he has been nothing but a gentleman for our club, but if we think we are in trouble now, how bad will it be without charlie austin?

No problem, we'll sign a guy from mesopotamia or somewhere like that.

I think it would be the right club for him to be honest with you
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I agree. If QPR stay up they have a very good chance of keeping Austin especially if he does win an England cap whilst at QPR as he will see that goals and good performances will get him call ups regardless of which club he plays for.

If they go down, of course he will leave. He is ambitious and will want to get a place in the England squad for next years Euros.

Before I went to bed the other night I went through which Clubs I feel might suit him. I actaully ended up with Soton. Arsenal and Bournemouth are others.
Anyway, most of all i hope he will stay with us when now we most likely will be relegated in may. Afterall, He has a contract of one year left and a contract is a contract ,imo.

These days it's the player who decides where he wants to go; can't assume the highest bidder will necessarily be where player wants to go. I agree that if there are several clubs chasing him you'd expect the fee to creep up though.

Worth about the same as Wilfred Bony so the asking price ought to be about £30m. However, since we seem to be the worst negotiators in the world it will probably be £20m and we will end up with about £15m. Seriously, I think he will go for around £18m, which will be an absolute song.

Unfortunately he is out of contract in one year so that will affect the price somewhat.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds if we stay up. Tony has had his fingers burned by paying extortionate salaries to fat useless turd5 but Charlie obviously isn't one of those players. However, in an attempt to learn from his lessons, Tony seems to be hedging at paying higher wages now. Unfortunately, that lesson should not apply to quality players like Charlie! You can't pay too much over the odds, but a little over to keep a player like Charlie would be a good business decision for QPR.

if he's out of contract in a year then now is the time to get him round the table and offer him bucks, if he's honest and sayes no thanks sell him once our fate is decided , as for remy thats football gone mad he'd rather sit on the bench most weeks and collect his huge pay , didn't it used to be about actually playing football

I know what id do realistically if a big club came in for me and offered me 100k a week as well as trophies for a couple of seasons.

I believe we've already offered him a new contract at 60K per week but he doesn't want to sign it until he sees how this season plays out. Hard to blame him really.

Probably the most realistic club. He'd give Pelle some competition for sure.
