Decent manager tbh, and he clearly wants to build a bit of a legacy at Stoke.

I don't think his signings here were especially bad, we were 1 or 2 players away from a decent side and he didn't spunk as much cash as people seem to think. Reckon if we'd have spent the PArk Ji-Sung money on a decent player we'd have been alright that season.

Hate the bloke, but its the rangers curse. Jose would get relegated form the prem with us if he managed us

Mark tried to make the R's as big a club as the big ones. And he tried to do it in one season! Changing nearly a full squad is always a recipe for disaster. At Stoke, he found a good base of a team and he did not need to add many more players.

that's one hell of hell of a decent player for £2.5m, seeing as we ended up 14 points and 17 goals difference from safety... who was it - ronaldo or messi?

Our final standings cant be blamed on Hughes alone. When he was sacked we were only 6 points from safety with over half the season left to play.... Redknapp took us significantly backwards that season, even with huge funding in Jan (Far more that Hughes had in the summer), but used the excuse it wasn't his players.... then he failed in the championship finishing 4th with further massive investment, especially for that league. We scraped up regardless of him not because of him, then this season after yet more massive investment, he's been #### poor again.

Hughes had a bad spell at QPR in his 2nd season, Redknapp was appauling throughout, yet people talk of Hughes with far more hatred. Bizarre imo.

No, it's based on facts unlike your ramblings. Are you trying to say Redknapp was good for QPR then...???

Yeah, good one, the Wembley success was all courtesy of Harry. The team was appalling on the day and it was beyond lucky we won. But you pat Harry on the back for his brilliance why don't you. And you say I'm talking ####..

As for your comment about "my mate Mark" just because I highlight a few facts rather than usual BS, that pretty much sums up your level. Pathetic, but not surprising.

                            2012-2013 season

                            MH 12 games, 4 points = 0.33 ppg
                            HR 25 games, 21 points = 0.84 ppg

                            FACT

Not saying HR did enough that season, although he most certainly did more than two times better than MH (OBE) (Think he will be disappointed that you left that out )

Irrelevant in the point I'm making, but I wouldn't expect you to work it out. We got promotion so people have given him votes, but the first comment says everything you need to know, "because he got us up but any manager worth his salt should have" it papered over the cracks of what was a poor season given his backing and squad.

If you actually look at the signings he made the summer before our poor start and his ultimate demise, the majority were free or loans. How's that plssing money away? If you ask me he was probably told to scour the free transfer market and in paper many of the players looked a good fit.

It was only after the poor start, towards the end of the window we panic bought Granero and Mbia splashing a bit of money.

He had nothing to do with wages offered by the club.

Compare it to Redknapp who was given £20m in jan for samba and Remy alone, then massive funding before the Championship season for Austin, Phillips, Simpson etc, then this summer..... Chalk and cheese.
I'l tell what is ridiculous is your love in for man that wasn't up for the job of handling a newly promoted club that had no foundations laid in the playing staff .
when Hughs left what legacy did he leave none in fact one of his legacy's still remains HOILET yeah , you talk as tho he was better for QPR than Redknapp ! and you talk of redknapps spending 20m the club got their money back for Samba made a small profit on Remy as it stands at the moment Redknapps legacy is your 2 best players Austin and Phillips yeah Austin Phillips and Simpson all 3 never came for a combined fee nowhere near 10m what a massive fee that was wasn't it ?
Redknapps football left a lot to be desired to say the least but luck or judgement he did far better for QPR than hughs ever did
