I don't think so as we were not in the FL when we occurred that big loss we can only be done for our last season in the Championship

Yeah I posted another link above. We will find that out in the next week, and if we do get fined, it wont be anywhere near the figures quoted before.

The football league will be most pissed off haha. We've proper got one over on them but I suspect there will be another rule change to stop this happening again in the future.

Hopefully we never have this problem again and if we can survive in this league come the end of May, I believe we won't be, due to the huge increase in revenue from being a Premier League club with the new TV deal and the new set up off the pitch geared towards being a sustained Premier League club.

Are you disagreeing with my assertion that a debt free QPR is the ambition of the owners then? I'm not talking about now.

what a total failure though . The embarassment of the catestrophic loss despite all of the Prem money. This is not something to gloat about or be proud of our owners for , after all it is their bad management that has led to this 'club threatening' position.

I don't get all this happy chappy nonsense.
We are still £186 mil in debtthanks to this bumbling idiot.
The only reason why he wiped most of last year's accounts was to avoid paying a fine.

If he wants to show commitment to the club then he should pay for all his farming mistakes. Wipe the whole debt.

fark me.. didn't take long did it haha... always a couple...

This is a positive because it could of been a lot worse so see it has a positive not another negative.

I also am interested in seeing where our accounts now sit with other prem clubs.

Why write off the debt when there is no need? It's not a problem as the majority of it is shareholders loans. You get penalised for year to year accounts not debt. If we become a permanent fixture in the Premier League, which I believe we will if we can survive this season then with the huge amount of revenue from TV money alone, it's highly likely we'll turn an annual profit in as little as a few years time, which will be used to reduce the debt on an annual basis. The next few months of football are massive for the club.

Leicester fans have been going on about this ffp thing for ages. They themselves are being accused of breaching it (they are aghast that they could've failed it btw) but they kept
consoling themselves "that QPR would be hit harder and end up in the conference"
Now they can't believe that we've posted a loss only £2 mill over what we're allowed......Life's so confusing

I stated on here sometime back after an interview with Tony, he described most of the debt as soft debt which meant it was to shareholders/the people that owned the club, and not to any bank or financial institutons, I think them writing off £60M of debt is quite a big committment to the club,
