You're all completely wrong on Caulker for the goals. He was off balance and facing inwards when he headed it, the ball couldn't have gone anywhere else but back into the middle. There are times when you're damned if you touch the ball and damned if you leave it.

As for the second, when a ball is whipped in fast when the defence are chasing back, you don't have time to face it and be organised. This happens all the time to all teams, and it's a known tactic to get the ball into the box as quick as you can when defenders are running back to their goal rather than facing the ball.

The usual uninformed blame game hysteria. Look at slow mo replays before being an expert on player mistakes.

I watched the slow mo replay. Three times. Confirmed what I thought at the game for the first. That was nothing but a dreadful error. Second was very well taken and a great cross, but Caulker should have tracked the scorer and put him under pressure. He pretty much had a free header.

Caulker was off balance and leaning inwards when he headed it, did you not see that? I'm not having a go, but sometimes some people see what they see in a split second, pass a mental judgement, and won't acknowledge corrected evidence. I see it all the time with so called TV commentators and summarisers, who won't admit they're wrong on first calls. Even more laughable is when the instant replay shows they're completely wrong, and they still repeat their original view.

What really pi**es me off about these so called experts is when they say, he should have scored that. Do they live in a fantasy world where all goal scorers have 100% strike rates?

Yep. I was behind the ball. He shouldn't have been off balance. He had all the time in the world to deal with that ball. He could have put it behind for a corner, out for a throw, or even left it to Yun.

Won't get the slating Ferdinand got & I can think of numerous mistakes he's made costing goals.

Why on earth a pro footballer heads a ball back into the path of an oncoming striker, or the centre of the box is mind blowing. Amateurish.

Got to agree with you Jim on this one ! just think of the points he alone given away , nobody can doubt he has ability but his total lack of discipline makes him a liability , if we had a choice which we haven't due to Barton's red and injuries maybe we could look at giving Henry a shot at C/B at least he plays with discipline and thinks

1st goal Caulker should have dealt with the ball better BUT who was marking Jelavic?

2nd goal he should have been marking N'Doye much closer BUT what was Rio doing?

I'm not making excuses for Caulker as I think he is a shocking defender but the pairing of Caulker/Rio will relegate us.

Looked like his boots were made of concrete for the second goal. Been hit and miss all season as well. All this talk of Caulker having "potential" is nonsense. We paid £8.5million for the finished article, not some kid who's going to need a few years to adapt to playing in the PL - if that's the case, we might as well start bringing in youth players.

Sorry but Caulker wasn't at fault for the second goal, watch it back, as the ball goes out left to Brady, Rio is marking N'Doye, it's Rio that loses his man, great ball then gets whipped in, Rio in no mans land and Caulker left with two, attempts to get across to N'Doye but doesn't make it. I have no defence for the first goal, very novicey to head it back into a danger area. Been inconsistent and made some costly errors, but will become a very good player, pleased he's at the club.

I have just watched it back mate. N'Doye is behind Rio - making him Caulker's man, who sees him throughout the play. Rio is zonal marking the front post (which admittedly he makes a balls up of.) N'Doye gets a run on Caulker and beats him by a yard without even breaking sweat. There's no second man to be marked - the other Hull player involved in the first phase of play completely drops off. Caulker doesn't even jump and reacts far too late - its actually embarrasing. As I said in my previous post, we didn't pay all that money to wait for him to become a good player - the blokes made over 200 professional appearances, and doesn't seem to be improving at all.

Zonal marking the front post?? Not how I see it, but each to their own.

He clearly is. Watch it back. There's no "2nd man" to mark - its Caulker matched up aginst N'Doye, and Caulker makes a complete mess of it.
