I think this thread is well over the top..... Several times yesterday he looked like a rabbit in the headlights to me. Poor touch, poor control and poor distribution. We also set-up to give him loads of protection (s'pose that's not directly his fault) with Philips never more than 10 yds from him and not getting forwards plus our midfield sitting to the right. Consequently, poor Yun was completely isolated with no cover, nothing in front of him and no out ball.
I'm not digging the lad out - he just needs a normal development via some loans, low-key cup appearances, substitutions etc. I think it's miles too early for him to be chucked into full-blooded Prem games and it's a sad indictment of our threadbare squad if he has to play in such a massive/crucial game.
Only positive I can think of is that Hull were absolute pony and never really exploited things or got at the lad. Of course, I sincerely hope he gets the chance to grow/develop with us into a top player but I can't start eulogising about him just yet.

Having watched the game and then MOTD I think the lad looked class...
Isla might be better at certain things but the kid has huge potential. Further to this Isla is on loan and in all likelihood won't be here next season and furlong will, that to me is the most important issue in who gets the first team spot at the mo.
For me furlong is our new first choice RB.Last edited by Awin; 22-02-2015, 05:48 PM.
