Agree with you 100% about formation it worked so no way should we look at anything else we keep it but for me Austin improves that formation. If we have one chance at Hull I would rather it was falling to a cold blooded goal scorer then Bobby who has missed a number of sitters this season although he brings other aspects to the plate
Think Charlie hasn't been an asset when up front by himself away and the team plays through the middle. That's been proven away from home all season. And last. It's been disasterous in 4411 and 451. That might change in 4231 with Adel being able to get in front of him, Phillips able to play forward and really use the flank, and when the three behind Charlie can hold and use the ball in their third. But that's a gamble after Sunderland. Hence I'd keep the same formation and Bob for Hull. Bob's far from being a goal scorer, I know. And Charlie can play a part from the bench

Barton and Henry should start, as deep lying centre mids. Adel to replace Fer. Think I'd start with BZ, because he's the man in possession and scored last game, and because Charlie is returning from injury. Back four the same as against Sunderland.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I'd be concerned about Brady attacking on the left; whilst Isla Phillips is a fantastic attacking right side for us, it's weaker defensively. I have no solution though, unless we go to a 5-4-1, but that doesn't suit us, so we definitely need Henry patrolling in front of the back four. Like many others, I'd try and stick with the starting 11 from Sunderland as much as possible.

          Green

          Isla Caulker Ferdinand Yun

          Barton Henry

          Phillips Taarabt Kranjcar

          Zamora

This formation could really bring out the best in Taarabt and we have fantastic support to come off the bench if Zamora is tiring or Taarabt is struggling or we need more pace in attack, with Zarate, Vargas, Austin and, yes SWP all available. We also have the option of Sandro to shore things up if necessary. Looking good IMO. Main thing is the defence need to be 100% focussed in this game and we need to press as hard as we did against the Black Cats.

I agree with this. Austin DOESN'T perform being the lone striker. NOT saying he's sh*te or what - obviously he is a natural goal-poacher, but he mostly perform well only when a 4-4-2 is played. This could be a reason why Ings and Kane are called up to the England squad at the moment whereas Charlie's not, because the other 2 can operate as a lone striker

He played in the three behind Zamora. Charlie not being available enabled us to play the formation which helped us win the game. Regarding balls, let's see if Chris has sufficient to leave Charlie on the bench at Hull and enable us to play the same winning team with Adel in the same position as Fer.

Sorry let me be more specific! He dropped Henry for the Southampton game and moved fer into cm for that game and pushed him into the number 10 role for Sunderland.

Harry hadn't played fer in his right position all year and I imagine the reason Henry was restored for the Sunderland game was due to injuries!!

He certainly has had the balls imo to bring Philips in, drop two of our top performers to balance the team better and because they are more effective.

We should stick to 4231 and at the moment Zamora plays the 1 better than anyone else, including Charlie.

Bobby holds the ball up much better and allows the 3 to get forward and players into the box quicker.

If I was a tamper man the only player I would consider changing from the side that beat Sunderland would be Krancjar. I would be tempted to play Zarate on the left with Taarabt in the middle behind Zamora.

                  sandro henry

                  bobby

subs - Zarate, Austin, Niko, Barton, Ned.

However I reckon Barton will start and Austin will probably be brought back in

This was the QPR team that played up in Hull on that day where their knuckle draggers decided to chant about the London bombings.

Royce, Bignot, shiteeeetu, Santos, Rose, Rowlands (Sturridge 68), Doherty (Ainsworth 69), Bircham, Cook, Gallen, Furlong, Sturridge (Moore 72).
                    Subs Not Used: Cole, Shimmin.
