If there is one thing to note about this, is that we never really and honestly looked like conceding. Yes they had chances, but there was something there in terms of real dangers that weren't being posed and that is down to the organisation laid down by HR that day. He wasn't a tactically brilliant manager, but he organised the team well that day.
yes that's why Hill had to tell him what substitution to make, organisation the word is not in his dictionary, played Krancjar who was clearly not fit.....

Played Kranjcar, who played for the badge that day. Also, how poor is your memory that in that second leg against wigan, Kranjcar was excellent. I don't know how you could bash harry's decision to stick with him. Plus, he managed Zamora the correct way to make him usable when he had a bad hip. How did that turn out? Hill told him to bring him off instead of hoilett, that is all. So I don't get your issue with that

You clearly have a problem with your memory,Kranjcar at Wembley played 19 mins an then came off with hamstring which he had been
suffering from in the previous weeks. He managed Zamora due to his inability to get another forward in so created that problem
himself. He was going to make a different substitution until Hill intervened and advised him to change it.

The result at Wembley was great but a pure fluke

Inability to get another forward in? Doyle, Maiga, keane, Dellatorre.
Kranjcar is was unfit yet played 120 mins the match before, he was desperate to play and was willing to risk his place at the world cup to get us into the prem.
Hill only asked him to not take hoilett off because we wouldnt get forward without him. Henry came on for hill. That was the only change influenced by hill. Also, everyone there in a qpr shirt was hoping we would get to extra time. Why is it that because HR thought the same, he should get bashed for it.

What are you on,.the forwards you mention he hardly played so why bring them in.

I am discussing HR not Kranjcar so why would you pick a player to start at Wembley with a hamstring problem in the weeks leading up to it.

In my day the manager made decisions like Hoilett staying on so we could get forward that's what they get paid for.

                the 24 th of may

the 24th of may, will always be an evocative day,i had predicted a one nil victory on the lfw site it must be the only score ive ever predicted correct in my life but i also predicted zamora to score the solitary goal in the 89 th

my day started with a drive up to loftus road there was a group of about 50 people saying we leave
at ten thirty am,i said no no no
ive been sent to start the march at ten am,so i srted shouting across the road onto the pavement
and the next thing i knew the march was moving i wanted to lead the march with my vehicle
moving slowly in the front but the old bill wouldnt have it
so i drove down to the torch were there was already 800 geezers, then into the stadium early
there was hardly anyone in there when i got in there but behind all the seats were flags
going back to my poem which i wrote on the 18th of may
it was called unfold the flags so i guess the whole day was going to become a sureal experience
in 1967 i was too young to really understand,1982 was an amazing experience. But the 1985 against oxford was for some reason
not very nice, but the 24th of may was absolutely sensational i doubt if in my lifetime ill ever go to wembley again so ill never forget

Redknapp was very good at deflecting blame on to the players, never once said I'm the manager blame me...

                    well

well most of the time i can trully say if i thought a manager was a positive or negative but with reknapp im a little confused, many people slagged off trevor francis as a manager but he purchased so many good players like david bardsley andy sinton.nigel spackman, ray wilkins, peter reid,
if i was going to mark harry out of ten i would give him 7 out of ten because he did get qpr up on the first attempt and along the way he gave me my greatest ever qpr memory on the 24th of may
but i think when he left it was clearly probabley the correct decision, but if we get beaten ten nil by hull city i may have to retract that statement

Positives: it's differcult to think of many. Ummm.... the away win at Scumford Bridge.
Negatives: crab-like football that drained the will to live.
