Beard imo came across well to the media but didn't actually do anything worthy of his position. Let down and glad he is gone.
Big name signings were wanted by Tony/Warnock/Hughes/Redknapp and Beard got them done at a price that the board and various managers accepted at the time.
Like I said, don't think he is blameless but some of the hate for him seems way over the top.

I respect the fact the majority of people are up the move , and the facilities at a new ground would undoubtably be better than LR ,but its more than that imho
How many pubs have now gone and how many of those remaining do you think will survive? Do you think those pubs can survive with QPR fans popping in once a fortnight?
Changing times I'm afraid. That's the way of the world.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

But anyway, do you know how many pubs have gone from the bush and if the remaining ones will be around for a long while? We can't base our future on a few pubs!Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

People blaming Beard make me laugh.
If he gives a 4 year contract to a player that the manager thinks is worth a 4 year contract and that player turns out to be pants, it's Beard's fault for giving him the contract, leaving us having to continue paying him, or sell him at a loss.
If he gives a 2 year contract to a player that the manager thinks is worth a 2 year contract and that player turns out to be fantastic, it's Beard's fault for only giving him the 2 year contract when he moves on at the end of the 2 years without us making a profit.
Yes, very fair.

The answer to that is ,we just don`t know . What we do know is the future of the club is being gambled with.
As a lot of people have pointed out to you the world and the world of football has changed so we either change ourselves or get left behind. Given the choice I no which one I'd go for ( assuming the owner can deliver on his promises and the jury is definitely out on TF at the moment).Tony Fernandes Blue N White Army

I'm pretty sure the life ban is in place for him still. People shpuld check their facts and history...what is this site? Full of premier league glory hunting kidddies with no knowledge of our recent history???
Also why the assumption from many OOC is dead the guy which people seem to be pinning there arguments on for backing cargiant is same man that backed us and a stadium few weeks back live on the bbc. He's backing every horse everyone will get what they want from this
