    • I don't get why people hate Beard so much. Wasn't his job negotiating deals for players picked by the management? hardly his fault if they turned out bad. Did he pay too much? maybe but sometimes big name players need more cash to come to a club like QPR.

Thats the problem tho brian....'big name players'-none of these should have been let near us to start with but to offer players like swp four year contracts on 70k a week wasn't exactly doing the best for us. Beard imo came across well to the media but didn't actually do anything worthy of his position. Let down and glad he is gone.

But surely thats not entirely his decision? Warnock wanted SWP, presumably Tony backs him and tells Beard to get it done. I'm not saying he is completely free of blame but the way some people talk, its like they think its entirely down to him that we have these crap players on high wages.

Big name signings were wanted by Tony/Warnock/Hughes/Redknapp and Beard got them done at a price that the board and various managers accepted at the time.

Like I said, don't think he is blameless but some of the hate for him seems way over the top.

I respect the fact the majority of people are up the move , and the facilities at a new ground would undoubtably be better than LR ,but its more than that imho
The area is changing massively. Have you not seen the demographic change over the years?

How many pubs have now gone and how many of those remaining do you think will survive? Do you think those pubs can survive with QPR fans popping in once a fortnight?

Changing times I'm afraid. That's the way of the world.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Agree...and the people doing the gambling have been sh!t at it so far.

Do you think the demographic is going to any different a mile and half up the road at Old OaK ?

No I don't, however, the place is going to be a multi-purpose venue and will be pulling in people from all over.

But anyway, do you know how many pubs have gone from the bush and if the remaining ones will be around for a long while? We can't base our future on a few pubs!

                    • If it's only a mile and a half away from where we are now, why the panic over moving?....That's absolutely no distance to travel, especially in London surely

                          • People blaming Beard make me laugh.

If he gives a 4 year contract to a player that the manager thinks is worth a 4 year contract and that player turns out to be pants, it's Beard's fault for giving him the contract, leaving us having to continue paying him, or sell him at a loss.

If he gives a 2 year contract to a player that the manager thinks is worth a 2 year contract and that player turns out to be fantastic, it's Beard's fault for only giving him the 2 year contract when he moves on at the end of the 2 years without us making a profit.

                            Yes, very fair.

The answer to that is ,we just don`t know . What we do know is the future of the club is being gambled with.
Vespa - don't get me wrong, I am as worried as you that TF has over extended his self and might take rangers with him. That doesn't mean that I think that moving to a larger, modern stadium is right for Rangers in the long term.

As a lot of people have pointed out to you the world and the world of football has changed so we either change ourselves or get left behind. Given the choice I no which one I'd go for ( assuming the owner can deliver on his promises and the jury is definitely out on TF at the moment).

The thief was given a second chance at Brentford as others fired from the club also were. Well done he seems to have turned his life around...but coming back to QPR??? I'm pretty sure the life ban is in place for him still. People shpuld check their facts and history...what is this site? Full of premier league glory hunting kidddies with no knowledge of our recent history???
I thought there was something. Why people bag beard them champion devlin is odd

Also why the assumption from many OOC is dead the guy which people seem to be pinning there arguments on for backing cargiant is same man that backed us and a stadium few weeks back live on the bbc. He's backing every horse everyone will get what they want from this
