  • Ultimately, we can't kid ourselves that its easy to attract top talented players to the club - it'd be a thankless task for anyone. That said, our record in terms of transfers, fees and contracts during Beard's tenure is borderline insane. He had a good innings and a silly amount of devolved patience from TF and its now time for soemone new who has more experience in terms of pure footballing business.

But what did he accomplish that he has your backing as a good appointment?

      • While my personal view of the DUFC in charge of QPRFC has not changed at all (no cause for that as of yet) and it largely coincides with that of Vblock and Matty, I am gladly abstaining from the lively debate because I am happy that Harry has left and the team is playing better. I think now that we will survive in the PL and thus will remain financially viable. But God help us and the DUFC if we still get relegated.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Could have ended up in jail after the shenanigans that went on when he was with us (as others actually have). The thief was given a second chance at Brentford as others fired from the club also were. Well done he seems to have turned his life around...but coming back to QPR??? I'm pretty sure the life ban is in place for him still. People shpuld check their facts and history...what is this site? Full of premier league glory hunting kidddies with no knowledge of our recent history???

                  • Think he was.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

                    • absolutely certain that PB is out because of the Old Oak project going haywire. Cargiant completely got the upper hand with all their pre contracts in place as well as a lot of community work in place as well. What have we done besides a fancy video and a website.......
Anyway now that the council is talking positively about Cargiant's project I recon TF saw the writing on the wall and "fired" PB (or PB saw the writing himself and resigned before he would get the boot).

I wonder what impact it will have on our new stadium plans.......will they move further away from Loftus Road (than Old Oak) or skip the plans of a new stadium all together with their new strategy of using academy players and not spending on transfers. The latter does not sound like a premier league club though......

                      • Mark Donnelly is in charge of the Stadium stuff, not Beard.

Did you not read my line? Were you just ignoring everything I said? Have a read of it again V and understand that I pointed out that at the time, he was an excellent appointment due to his success in similar scale projects in the past. I said that in hindsight, he made mistakes of course, not many have come here and evaded them. But he always had the best intentions of the club.

                          • Hindsight is a beautiful thing! The majority were pleased Harry had taken over. Nobody knew he would be this much of a f### up

Personally ,with the kybosh on the move to OAC ( ) ,i dont reckon TF will be around ,for too much longer , but what scares me is whether ,Rangers are left with this massive debt ( then the buckets will be out again ,all caused by the irresponsible spending of the current regime ) ,or whether the shareholders will be true to their word and right off the debt . Don`t reckon it will be the latter personally.

With respect, I don't think you have a clue about the way the loans are financed. If we get relegated and the FL impose a massive FFP fine, do you really think the shareholders will want to add the fine to the debt, or would they prefer to write off their loans? What would you do?

I reckon they will take the hit if necessary, don't you? They'll never be able to sell the club with that amount of debt, so they either stay and make the whole project work, or they write off their loans and sell up. Either way, it won't have any effect on us.

As for being overjoyed if the OOC project is called off, it will stifle any chance we have of developing our infrastructure and growing the club, something which you seem mightily pleased about. What kind of future do you think we'll have at LR and playing in the champs, with no other sources of income? Look around London and notice West Ham, Brentford and Spurs are moving, Chelsea would like a new stadium, joining Arsenal and Millwall with new grounds, while we languish at LR, a ground that has cut capacity by almost 50% in 40 years, with currently 13% restricted views.

                                Attractive proposition eh?
